Ole Miss Takeover Schedule for July 8 on SEC Network

SEC Network Takeover (#SECNTakeover) continues Wednesday, July 8 with Ole Miss taking over the national television network for 24 hours. With the help of Leigh Anne Tuohy, legal guardian of Super Bowl champion Michael Oher and most notably known for Sandra Bullock’s depiction of her life in the film The Blind Side, Ole Miss has slated 18 hours of original content from its school produced series “The Season” as well as three recent television events from the vault* to relive with fans.

“The Season”, which airs in the overnight and from 9 a.m. to midnight, takes fans behind the scenes of Ole Miss Athletics throughout the 2014-15 season, featuring the Football, Rifle, Spirit Squads, Track & Field, Softball, Soccer,  Volleyball, Tennis, Women’s &  Men’s Golf, Women’s & Men’s Basketball and Baseball teams. The series also includes a half-hour episode devoted to the preparation of each game throughout the Ole Miss Football season, beginning with fall camp.

• 2013 Ole Miss vs. Florida (Men’s Basketball) Coming back from a 12-point halftime deficit, the Rebels capped off an impressive run through the 2013 SEC Tournament with a win over No. 1 seed Florida to clinch an NCAA Tournament berth for the first time since 2002.
• 2006 Ole Miss vs. Vanderbilt (Baseball) With a team consisting of multiple Rebels with futures in Major League Baseball, Ole Miss captured the SEC Tournament title by taking down Vanderbilt 9-3 in the championship game.
• 2014 Ole Miss vs. Alabama (Football) In one of the most memorable games in school history, Ole Miss out-scored Alabama 20-3 in the second half to knock off the top-ranked Crimson Tide in Oxford. After a Bo Wallace touchdown pass to Jaylen Walton with under three minutes to go, Senquez Golson picked off Alabama quarterback Blake Sims in the back of the end zone with 37 seconds left to seal the victory.

About the SEC Network Takeover

The SEC Network Takeover is a two-week programming initiative dedicated to airing programming selected by Southeastern Conference schools. All 14 schools will craft their own 24-hour schedule which may include classic games, films, ESPN original content and some school-produced content. In addition to delivering the ultimate the day of television for their fan-base, the takeover includes SEC Network’s twitter handle.
