“NHL ALL-ACCESS VANCOUVER” GETS FANS INSIDE THE HOCKEY ACTION
NHL PLATFORMS BLANKET VANCOUVER WITH UNPRECEDENTED COVERAGE

NEW YORK (February 11, 2010) — The National Hockey League today announced its plan for NHL All-Access Vancouver™, a multi-platformed connection to news and information on the hockey competition at the 2010 Winter Games.
In less than a week, more than 140 NHL ® players will shed their NHL jerseys and compete for their countries on the world hockey stage. NHL All-Access Vancouver brings fans along for an exciting ride through internet, radio and television as NHL players, coaches and management strive for international dominance, golden moments and the fulfillment of lifelong dreams.
NHL.com, NHL Radio™ and NHL Network™ will launch NHL All-Access Vancouver on Sunday, February 14. Pre- and post-game reports, expert analysis, feature interviews and special stories will cover the sights and sounds from the competing hockey nations.
The puck drops on the hockey competition on Tuesday, February 16, with a triple-header — Team USA, led by captain F Jamie Langenbrunner of the New Jersey Devils, will take on the Swiss; Captain D Scott Niedermayer of the Anaheim Ducks leads Canada against Norway; and Latvia takes on a skilled Russian team led by Washington Capitals F Alex Ovechkin. Twelve days of fierce hockey competition follow until a champion is crowned on February 28.
NHL.com will provide extensive coverage from Vancouver including daily reporting by top writers and exclusive, behind-the-scenes features. Hosted by NHL.com’s own Heidi Androl, NHL All Access Vancouver Update, presented by Scotiabank in Canada and U.S. Army in the United States, will take a look at notable players and teams in action each day of the competition while monitoring the tournament standings. NHL Winter Capsule, presented by Budweiser in Canada and XM in the U.S. will take fans behind the scenes for a look at the competition from the streets of Vancouver and through the eyes of the NHL’s top stars. The Cisco All-Access Vancouver One on One program will stream special sit-down interviews with NHL players, star athletes and celebrities who will share their personal stories about attending this momentous international event.
NHL Live! ™, the NHL’s daily radio show — broadcast live on Sirius XM Radio, streamed on NHL.com and simulcast on NHL Network — will have daily programming at its regular time, Monday through Friday from noon – 2 p.m. ET (9 a.m. – 11 a.m. PT), to recap the previous night’s action and preview the day ahead. As well, NHL Live! will hit the airwaves on Sunday, Feb. 21 from noon – 2 p.m. ET (9 a.m. – 11 a.m. PT) to preview the day’s triple-header of rivalry matchups and potential medal-round pairings.
A special extra edition of NHL Live! will be broadcast, simulcast and streamed daily from 6 p.m. – 7 p.m. ET (3 p.m. – 4 p.m. PT) during the Winter Games: NHL ‘Live!’ All Access Vancouver presented by Honda will analyze the early games and set up the prime time contests. Honda is the official vehicle of the National Hockey League.
On the two Thursdays during the Games, the Commissioner’s weekly radio show, NHL Hour with Commissioner Gary Bettman, will take over the NHL’s airwaves during its usual 6 p.m. – 7 p.m. ET (3 p.m. – 4 p.m. PT) slot. The show, which encourages fans to call in with questions for the Commissioner, will originate from downtown Vancouver.

Club Bud Welcomes the NHL
Budweiser will transform the famed Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver into “Club Bud” — the ultimate destination for party-goers in Vancouver. On Saturday, Feb. 20, Club Bud will host an NHL-themed party where athletes, celebrities and lucky fans will celebrate in style. Located on Granville Street in the heart of Vancouver’s entertainment district, the 19,000-square foot, 1,000-person capacity, multi-level venue will feature a concert stage, elevated seating, several bar and lounge areas and the legendary 2,646-square foot sprung dance floor. Official sponsors of the NHL Party at Club Bud include Scotiabank, Energizer, LG Electronics and Roots. Doors open at 9 p.m. with a red carpet entrance to welcome athletes and celebrities.
