ESPN’s new Monday Night Football advertising campaign debuts Monday with the first of three planned spots.
The initial anthemic spot (PREVIEW) will feature a few familiar faces, including Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and four current NFL players: Houston Texans running back Arian Foster, New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski, Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy and New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis.
Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford will star in the second MNF ad, debuting in September.
“We have had great participation from Jerry Jones and a number of NFL players this summer and we appreciate the time they gave us during their offseason,” notes ESPN Marketing senior director Seth Ader, who is overseeing the campaign. “Their involvement really speaks to our new tagline that ‘It All Comes Down to Monday Night’.”
In addition to the MNF spots, New York Giants Super Bowl champion defensive end Justin Tuck and Green Bay Packers wide receiver Greg Jennings will make cameo appearances in ESPN’s separate NFL studio shows campaign, which debuts later this month.
Wieden + Kennedy NY is the creative agency for ESPN’s NFL campaigns.
