COLLEGE BASKETBALL
OLD-SCHOOL BIG EAST RIVALRY SET FOR FOX SPORTS 1 – An old-school BIG EAST rivalry heats up on FOX Sports 1 as second-ranked Syracuse battles St. John’s on Sunday, Dec. 15, (12:00 PM ET) live from New York City’s famed Madison Square Garden. Gus Johnson and Bill Raftery, FOX Sports lead college basketball announce team, call the action. Then, immediately following at 2:30 PM ET on FOX Sports 1, it’s a Philadelphia ‘Big 5’ match-up between La Salle and No. 10 Villanova lvie from The Pavilion. Chris Carrino and Ron Thompson cover the game. On Thursday, Dec. 12, the fifth-ranked Kentucky women visit Chicago to face DePaul on FOX Sports 1 at 7:00 PM ET.
RAFTERY ON THE ST. JOHN’S-SYRACUSE RIVALRY – “For me it’s enjoyable to see one of the old BIG EAST teams back. I think it’s good for New York because ‘The Garden’ loves Syracuse, and of course it’s St. John’s home court. These intersectional games, of which this is really a local game, appeal to people – particularly when there’s been a connection for years.”
THOMPSON ON LASALLE-VILLANOVA – “Whenever you have a ‘Big 5’ match-up, records go out the window. Both teams are very well-coached, and of course, La Salle made that great run to the Sweet 16 in last year’s NCAA Tournament. Also, no one thought Villanova was going to be this good, this soon. They are very much a team, not caring who gets the credit.”

UFC TONIGHT: JOHNSON AND BENAVIDEZ INTERVIEWED BEFORE THEIR TITLE FIGHT AT FOX UFC SATURDAY
- Network/When: FOX Sports 1, Wednesday, Dec. 11 (7:00 PM ET)
- Talent: Kenny Florian, Chael Sonnen, Karyn Bryant, Insider Ariel Helwani

Then, the two interview Johnson and Benavidez about the fight. Featherweight contender Cub Swanson joins in the studio for an interview, and Insider Ariel Helwani has breaking news.
COACH COULD MAKE THE DIFFERENCE FOR BENAVIDEZ AGAINST JOHNSON IN TITLE FIGHT, SAYS FLORIAN: This weekend’s FOX UFC SATURDAY: JOHNSON VS. BENAVIDEZ 2 features a rematch between champion Demetrious Johnson (18-2-1) and No. 1 contender Joseph Benavidez (19-3) for the UFC flyweight title. The two made history in September 2012 as they fought for the first-ever UFC flyweight title, with Johnson prevailing in the epic five-round battle. Since that bout, Johnson has defended his title twice, both times on FOX, while Benavidez has gone on a three-fight win streak and looks to avenge his last loss to Johnson in that original title fight. According to UFC TONIGHT Analyst Kenny Florian, Benavidez’ new coach Duane “Bang” Ludwig could add the difference that he needs in this rematch. “Benavidez has been on a hot streak and he’s been knocking guys out in his last couple fights. He’s coming from a team at Alpha Male that has been on an unbelievable streak this year training under new striking coach Duane “Bang” Ludwig. This is a great rematch between two of the best flyweights in the world.” Watch UFC commentators Jon Anik and Florian break down the upcoming FOX UFC SATURDAY: http://foxs.pt/1cljZMJ
