NFL Network’s ‘Path to Primetime’ 2012 NFL Draft coverage continues with the sixth season of Path to the Draft, which airs Monday through Friday at 6:00 PM ET up until the 2012 NFL Draft on April 26-28. Below are quotes and video links from Monday and Tuesday’s editions of Path to the Draft:
– “Michael Floyd had an excellent workout…His explosion off of the line of scrimmage is exceptional; I would compare it to [Justin] Blackmon’s. The interest should start at No. 7 with Jacksonville, Miami at 8, Carolina at 9 and Buffalo at 10. [Picks] 7 through 10 there has to be some interest, but in no event can I see him going past the Jets at [No.] 16.” – Mike Mayock on Notre Dame wide receiver Michael Floyd (4/3/12)
– “If I’m going to take one of the two, I want Brandon Weeden before I want Brock Osweiler because I’ve seen Weeden in a few tough situations be large. Down the stretch last year when they played Texas A&M and had to make their comeback on the road, he helped get that done…I also would like him to challenge [Ryan] Tannehill just because they are similar guys if you took away the age [factor].” – Charles Davis on quarterbacks Brandon Weeden and Brock Osweiler (4/2/12)
– Analyst Mike Mayock reports from Notre Dame’s pro day and breaks down wide receiver Michael Floyd and safety Harrison Smith’s performances:
– Notre Dame wide receiver Michael Floyd catches up with Mike Mayock following his pro day workout:
– Analysts Charles Davis and Brian Baldinger debate which quarterback prospect will be a better pro: Brandon Weeden or Brock Osweiler?:
