Finding Giants
Before an NFL team can achieve success on the field, it is up to the hard work of the team’s scouts to scour the country to find the future players of the organization. For the first time ever, NFL Network – in association with NFL Films and Moondog Films – provides a behind-the-scenes look into the lives of professional scouts and follows the long process of what it takes to build a championship team.
NFL Network presents Finding Giants, a four-part series airing each Tuesday through October 21. All four episodes provide an intimate look into the New York Giants organization, one of the most successful NFL franchises with eight championship titles, including four Super Bowls. Each week on NFL Network, a first look of the new episode will air following the Thursday Night Football game. Digitally, Finding Giants will be made available on NFL Now through the service’s premium tier, NFL Now Plus. ($1.99 per month)
On NFL Now Plus, the full six-episode, “director’s cut” edition of Finding Giants will be available. NFL Now is the League’s next-generation video service and provides fans access to the largest digital library of NFL video anywhere accessible through apps and browsers across an array of Internet-connected devices. Offered for free with a premium tier, NFL Now allows fans to customize their own video stream of short-form videos and highlights from NFL Media and all 32 NFL clubs.
Finding Giants offers an in-depth look at scouting and team building in today’s NFL and shows what it takes to find and draft the best players to fit an organization. Finding Giants will also give fans a unique look at the personal side of working in the NFL as scouts and their wives balance life on the road with family life at home.
Additionally, Finding Giants will show footage inside the Giants’ draft war room during the 2014 NFL Draft, in which the Giants selected such players as Odell Beckham, Jr., Weston Richburg and Andre Williams.

Doug Flutie: A Football Life – Friday, October 17 at 9:00 PM ET
Former National Football League and Canadian Football League quarterback Doug Flutie is still regarded as one of the most beloved quarterbacks in football history. The Heisman Trophy-winner first entered the spotlight when he completed a “Hail Mary” touchdown pass in a game against the University of Miami in 1984 – considered one of the greatest moments in college football history. While people doubted his success as a professional quarterback due to his height, Flutie had a successful 21-year career and was inducted to both the College Football Hall of Fame (2007) and Canadian Football Hall of Fame (2008).
NFL Network’s series A Football Life continues Friday, October 17 at 9:00 PM ET with a profile of Flutie. The one-hour, NFL Films-produced documentary focuses on Flutie’s football career, beginning in high school, through his time at Boston College and ending with his professional career in both the NFL and CFL. The show focuses on Flutie’s constant adversity due to his small stature and how he was able to overcome his height to be regarded as one of the best quarterbacks of his generation.
Doug Flutie: A Football Life features interviews with Flutie, his wife Laurie Flutie, his brothers Bill and Darren, his former Boston College quarterback coach Tom Coughlin, former Chicago Bears head coach Mike Ditka, former San Diego Chargers teammate Drew Brees and more.
Following the premiere of Doug Flutie: A Football Life on NFL Network, the episode – along with the entire A Football Life series – will be available on NFL Now, the League’s next-generation video service. Providing fans access to the largest digital library of NFL video anywhere, NFL Now dynamically personalizes each fan’s viewing experience, allowing them to follow their favorite NFL teams and players. Visit NFL.com/now for more information.
Every episode of A Football Life – as well as all NFL Network programming – is streamed live on NFL Mobile from Verizon, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
