Three-Part ‘Huddle Up’ Series Debuts TODAY
NFL Media memorializes the 10th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina with a four-part series titled Marching Back: After the Storm. The series will run on NFL Network’s NFL Total Access Wednesday, August 26 – Saturday, August 29, with all four features and additional elements airing on NFL Total Access Sunday, August 30.
NFL Total Access airs at 7:00 PM ET Wednesday – Friday and at 3:00 PM ET on Saturday and Sunday.

- NFL Media’s Michael Silver returns to New Orleans to remember his experiences as the first sports journalist to arrive in the city after Hurricane Katrina. Former New Orleans Saints running back Deuce McAllister and wide receiver Joe Horn join Silver on his trip to recall the events from 10 years ago. Airs Wednesday, August 26 on NFL Total Access
- NFL Media’s Mark Kriegel traces the history of how the Saints stayed in New Orleans and how the Superdome was rebuilt after the storm. Includes interviews with former Governor Kathleen Blanco and former NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue. Airs Thursday, August 27 on NFL Total Access
- Former University of Minnesota defensive tackle Harold Legania – profiled in the upcoming season of NFL Network’s Emmy-nominated series Undrafted – grew up in New Orleans and recounts living through Hurricane Katrina and its aftermath. Airs Friday, August 28 on NFL Total Access
- NFL Media’s Andrea Kremer brings together a small group of New Orleans natives who rode out the storm in the Superdome and then returned for the Saints’ first game back in the Super Dome on September 25, 2006. Airs Saturday, August 29 on NFL Total Access

On Thursday, August 27, NFL.com unveils a digital experience, complete with NFL Media’s Michael Silver’s long-form article and all four features, as well as photo stills and web-only content.
On Monday, August 24, NFL Network kicks off a three-part series called ‘Huddle Up.’ Each installment of the series will air on NFL Network’s NFL Preseason HQ at 8:00 AM ET and NFL Total Access at 7:00 PM ET from August 24-26. The series, hosted by NFL Network correspondent and mother of four Melissa Stark, features candid conversation and unique perspectives between football moms on youth sports and safety. Segments will include discussions on Heads Up Football, injuries and concussions, and dealing with coaches, among other topics.

Featured guests include Christine Golic, an NFL consultant on youth football and a member of the Heads Up Football Advisory Committee, Dr. Elizabeth Pieroth, a neuropsychologist who specializes in head injuries for the Bears and other professional sports teams in Chicago, and Stephanie Rivera, former assistant coach for the WNBA’s Washington Mystics.
Heads Up Football encompasses USA Football’s accredited Level 1 Coach Certification Course, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) concussion recognition and response, medical expert-approved heat and hydration protocols, equipment fitting instruction and Heads Up Tackling and Blocking techniques for safer play.
