STAMFORD, Conn. – March 2, 2020 – NBC Sports will take fans inside the sounds and passion of hockey with a one-hour special – “Wired: Stadium Series – Kings vs. Avalanche” – this Wednesday at 12 a.m. ET on NBCSN, immediately following coverage of Ducks-Avalanche on Wednesday Night Hockey.
The program will utilize audio from a total of 12 players, coaches and referees from the Los Angeles Kings’ 3-1 victory over the Colorado Avalanche in the 2020 Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series matchup at U.S. Air Force Academy’s Falcon Stadium in Colorado Springs, Colo. on Feb. 15 on NBC. Tyler Toffoli recorded a hat trick for the Kings, the first player to score three goals in an NHL outdoor game. This marked the final game for Toffoli as a member of the Kings, before his trade two days later to the Vancouver Canucks.
Viewers will have the chance to re-live the memorable Stadium Series matchup through audio recorded from four mic’d players apiece from the Kings and Avalanche, as well as Kings head coach Todd McLellan, Avalanche head coach Jared Bednar, and two referees.
