STAMFORD, Conn. – June 18, 2020 – NBC Sports presents an evening of Premier Lacrosse League programming on Friday, July 3, from 8 p.m. ET to 1 a.m. ET on NBCSN, featuring a three-hour PLL Fantastic Finishes program that highlights the top fourth quarter and overtime game endings during the PLL’s 2019 inaugural season as well as an hour-long PLL Championship Series Preseason Show that looks ahead to the PLL Championship Series, beginning on July 25. An encore presentation of the 2020 PLL College Draft will conclude NBCSN’s coverage at Midnight ET.
The three-hour PLL Fantastic Finishes features eight of the best game finishes during the 2019 PLL season, including seven overtime thrillers, in primetime at 8 p.m. ET on NBCSN. Highlighted matchups include the Championship Game decided in overtime between Redwoods LC and Whipsnakes LC as well as two overtime games from the opening weekend of play at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Ma.
Throughout the program, NBC Sports’ Paul Burmeister will interview PLL Co-Founder and Atlas LC midfielder Paul Rabil, the winner of the inaugural PLL Jim Brown MVP Award and championship-clinching goal scorer Matt Rambo of Whipsnakes LC and Ryan Drenner, one of the most clutch players of the 2019 season, formerly of Whipsnakes LC and now a member of the expansion Waterdogs LC.
The PLL Championship Series Preseason Show, hosted by Burmeister at 11 p.m. ET on NBCSN, looks ahead to the PLL Championship Series, beginning on July 25, featuring some of the biggest stars in the league, including Paul Rabil, Matt Rambo, Redwoods LC’s Myles Jones and the third overall pick in the 2020 New Entry Draft and Atlas LC attackman Rob Pannell.
The 2020 PLL College Draft, held on Wednesday, May 13, will conclude the night’s programming at Midnight ET. The draft was hosted by NBC Sports’ Burmeister and Ryan Boyle, with Paul Rabil and PLL Co-Founder and CEO Mike Rabil providing commentary. The two-round draft featured each of the seven teams drafting graduating college seniors.
