NEW YORK – June 6, 2012 – NBC Sports Network will offer extensive coverage of the Tour de Suisse beginning this Saturday at 12:30 a.m. ET. This critical race is the last on the UCI WorldTour before the Tour de France, creating a final chance for some of the world’s top professional cyclists to prove their strength and stamina before the most grueling race of the year. NBC Sports Network’s coverage will include daily, one-hour stage re-caps as well as two-hour coverage of the final stage of the race.
The Tour de Suisse is a nine-stage competition covering more than 800 miles. Riding in the 2012 race will be top American riders, including defending champion Levi Leipheimer of Omega Pharma-Quickstep, Chris Horner of Team RadioShack -Nissan and Tom Danielson of Garmin-Barracuda.
Phil Liggett and Bob Roll will provide insight and commentary for the network’s coverage of the race.
