NFL WILD CARD GAME
NBC kicks off its coverage of the 2015 NFL playoffs this Sunday, Jan. 10, at 1 p.m. ET with an NFC Wild Card matchup, when Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks (NFC West, 10-6) visit Adrian Peterson and the Minnesota Vikings (NFC North, 11-5) at TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minn. NBC’s NFL Wild Card coverage on Sunday begins at Noon ET with a special edition of Football Night in America.
Calling Seahawks-Vikings from TCF Stadium in Minneapolis, Minn., is Al Michaels (play-by-play) alongside Cris Collinsworth (analyst), and sideline reporter Michele Tafoya.
Bob Costas will host Football Night in America reporting live alongside Hines Ward from Houston at 7 p.m. ET on NBC. Joining Costas and Ward from NBC Sports Group’s International Broadcast Center in Stamford, Conn., is co-host Dan Patrick, Tony Dungy, Rodney Harrison, Mike Florio and Peter King.
NHL
NBC Sports Group debuts Sunday Night Hockey on NBCSN, the first of 12 upcoming Sunday night NHL matchups, when Zach Parise and the Minnesota Wild host Cory Schneider and the New Jersey Devils at 8 p.m. ET.
Kenny Albert (play-by-play) and Pierre McGuire (analyst) will have the call of NBCSN’s Sunday Night Hockey showdown from Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minn.
NHL Live host Liam McHugh will host studio coverage alongside Keith Jones and Jeremy Roenick to provide pre-game and post-game analysis, as well as commentary during intermissions.
FIS SKIING WORLD CUP
NBC Sports Group’s live men’s and women’s FIS World Cup skiing coverage on NBCSN begins Saturday morning at 5:30 a.m. ET with the women’s downhill at Altenmarkt-Zauchensee in Austria.
Coverage continues at 7 a.m. ET with men’s giant slalom action from Adelboden, Switzerland. Sunday’s alpine skiing coverage on NBCSN begins at 5:30 a.m. ET with the super-G, and continues at 7 a.m. ET with the men’s slalom.
Steve Porino (play-by-play) and Kaylin Richardson (analyst) will call the women’s events, while Porino and Doug Lewis (analyst) will call the men’s races.
CURLING NIGHT IN AMERICA
Curling Night In America makes its return to NBCSN for the first of eight telecasts tomorrow night at 10 p.m. ET. The event features Team USA, as well as China, Japan, and Scotland, and includes one men’s, women’s and mixed doubles team from each nation. Jason Knapp (play-by-play), Pete Fenson (analyst), and Tanith White (reporter) will provide commentary from Curl Mesabi in Eveleth, Minn.
IBSF WORLD CUP
IBSF World Cup bobsled and skeleton coverage from Lake Placid on NBCSN begins tomorrow at 2 p.m. ET with women’s skeleton, followed by women’s bobsled at 3 p.m. ET and two-man bobsled at 4 p.m. ET. The four-man bobsled will air Saturday on Universal HD at 8 p.m. ET. John Morgan will provide commentary from Lake Placid.
DAKAR RALLY
NBCSN presents coverage of the 2016 Dakar Rally, the world’s most challenging off-road endurance race during the next two weeks.
Coverage of Stage 5 – San Salvador De Jujuy to Uyuni begins tonight at 5:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN. Coverage continues on NBCSN with Stage 6 – Uyuni to Uyuni on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. ET, and Stage 7 – Uyuni to Salta on Sunday at 6:30 p.m. ET.
Play-by-play voice Leigh Diffey will provide commentary throughout NBCSN’s Dakar Rally coverage.
U.S. ARMY ALL-AMERICAN BOWL
NBC will air the 16th annual U.S. Army All-American Bowl, the nation’s premier high school football all-star game, Saturday, Jan. 9, at 1 p.m. ET live from the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.
NBC Sports Group’s coverage kicks off Saturday at 12:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN, with a live pre-game show from the Alamodome.
Paul Burmeister will serve as play-by-play announcer for the game, as well as host of the pre-game show. Burmeister will be joined by analyst Anthony Herron, and reporters Lewis Johnson and Marty Snider. Barton Simmons from 247Sports will serve as an analyst for the telecast, contributing inside information on prep players and collegiate team recruiting rankings.
COLLEGE BASKETBALL
NBC Sports Group presents coverage of the Atlantic 10 Conference on NBCSN this Sunday, Jan. 10, with three matchups beginning at Noon ET.
A-10 action tips off with Rhode Island at St Joseph’s at Noon ET, immediately followed by Richmond at Fordham at 2 p.m. ET. Coverage concludes with VCU at Saint Louis at 4 p.m. ET.
