Network’s Coverage of NBA Global Games 2013 Tips Off Saturday, Oct. 5
NBA TV will begin its preseason coverage with telecasts of eight games taking place outside the United States as part of NBA Global Games 2013. The schedule will begin Saturday, Oct. 5, at 9 a.m. ET when the Oklahoma City Thunder and Kevin Durant visit Fenerbahce Ulker Istanbul in Istanbul, Turkey.
The network’s preseason schedule will feature games from China, Spain, and the United Kingdom, including multiple appearances by the Thunder, Golden State Warriors, Houston Rockets, Indiana Pacers, Los Angeles Lakers and Philadelphia 76ers. The coverage of NBA Global Games 2013 also includes the Chicago Bulls and Washington Wizards tipping off in Rio de Janeiro for the first NBA game in Brazil, while the Pacers and Rockets will play the league’s first preseason game in the Philippines.
Overall, NBA TV will televise more than 25 NBA preseason games with additional matchups to be announced at a later date. Following is the NBA Global Games 2013 scheduled for Oct. 5-18:
