Secaucus, N.J., September 2, 2011 – In a potential Postseason matchup featuring the two best teams in the National League, the N.L. East first-place Philadelphia Phillies will visit the N.L. Central first-place Milwaukee Brewers on Thursday, September 8 and Friday, September 9 at 8:00 p.m. ET, part of MLB Network’s live game schedule for September 8-12. The Phillies, who are looking to make their third straight trip to the World Series, currently hold Major League Baseball’s best record at 87-46, while the Brewers currently lead their division by seven and a half games.
The New York Yankees and Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, both looking to take control of their divisions in the A.L., will face off on Saturday, September 10 at 9:00 p.m. ET live from Angel Stadium. The Yankees trail the Boston Red Sox by a half game in the A.L. East, while the Angels are three and a half games behind the Texas Rangers. The A.L. Central first-place Detroit Tigers will take on the Chicago White Sox, who are fighting for a Postseason spot, on Monday, September 12 at 8:00 p.m. ET from Chicago’s U.S. Cellular Field.
