Born and Raised in Detroit, Adam developed his love of cars from his grandfather’s Lincoln dealership. After years of working different jobs he decided to make a split and turn his hobby of fixing up cars into a business. He sold the first Mobsteel Lincoln Continental for $13,000 in eight hours. From there the business exploded. Soon he was modifying cars for athletes, movie stars and even Ford. Along the way, Adam never wavered from the cars he wanted to make, and he’s not afraid to let anyone know it.
Mobsteel started when Adam and Pam invested their entire savings into a $1,500 hoist and they haven’t looked back since. But Pam is more than just Adam’s wife – she’s the one who keeps the shop together and running. The guys in the shop have chased out more employees than anyone can keep track of, but Pam has held her own and more than dished it back out. Over the years, she’s developed the thick skin needed to survive in the shop, but more importantly a razor-sharp glare that can shut any of them down with just one look.
Born in the boonies of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and home schooled, Steve is an unexpected fit for Mobsteel. With all that talent comes a big mouth to match. He’s had more than a couple blowups with Adam and the rest of the crew, but through it all, Adam and Steve have been inseparable and don’t have any plans of stopping anytime soon.
Doug “Wheatbread” – The Builder
All it took was one t-shirt and a penchant for health foods to get stuck with the nickname “Wheatbread.” Doug is the newest member of Mobsteel, but has years of experience at some of Detroit’s best motorcycle shops. This pint sized fabricator can build just about anything and has taken on some of the shop’s biggest projects, including the FedEx truck. Those building skills don’t save him from the insults when he tries a bit of “fuzzy math” though.
He may look like he just finished a three-day bender and acts like someone escaped from the insane asylum, but behind all that is one of the best painters in the world. Ron has been painting cars since he was 18 and worked on a who’s who of the world’s best automotive creations. With a giant Marvin the Martian tattoo, completely twisted sense of humor, and wild-man lifestyle, he’s the strangest member of the team, but also Adam’s secret weapon for making the perfect ride.
