MIKE LEACH JOINS CBS COLLEGE SPORTS NETWORK’S
2010 COLLEGE FOOTBALL BROADCAST TEAM AS GAME ANALYST
Former Texas Tech University football coach Mike Leach joins CBS College Sports Network’s announcer line-up as a game analyst for the 2010 college football season. Leach will team with veteran play-by-play announcer Roger Twibell, who also joins the Network this season.
Leach was the head coach at Texas Tech from 2000-09, during which time he led the Red Raiders to ten consecutive bowl games and an 84-43 record. In 2008, Leach was named Associated Press Big 12 Coach of the Year and was a recipient of the Woody Hayes Award. Prior to Texas Tech, Leach was the offensive coordinator at Oklahoma and Kentucky.
Leach joins CBS College Sports Network’s strong roster of game analysts, including lead game analyst Aaron Taylor, Jason Sehorn and CBS Sports’ Randy Cross. For the second consecutive season Sehorn and play-by-play announcer Dave Ryan serve as the announce team for the Network’s Army home games. Cross returns to call CBS College Sports Network’s slate of Navy games, teaming with CBS Sports play-by-play announcer Craig Bolerjack for the broadcasts.
Akbar Gbaja-Biamila, who debuted with CBS College Sports Network in 2009, serves as analyst on the Network’s schedule of Division II games. Gbaja-Biamila is joined in the booth by veteran announcer Jason Knapp. Brooke Olzendam joins the Network this season as a sideline reporter.
CBS College Sports Network’s studio programming is anchored by Adam Zucker, who is now in his eighth year with the Network. Former University of Tennessee coach Phillip Fulmer returns this season as a studio analyst on the Network’s various college football shows, including SEC TAILGATE and SEC POST-GAME SHOW PRESENTED BY GEICO. Former University of Texas and NFL linebacker Brian Jones returns as a studio analyst, and teams with Fulmer to provide expert analysis and insight every Saturday.
