MANNY RETURNS TO FENWAY – Returning to the place where he spent a momentous eight years, Manny Ramirez leads the Dodgers into Boston to take on his old slugging partner David Ortiz and the Red Sox Saturday, June 19 at 4:00 PM ET. Ramirez’ time in Boston was marked by home runs, championships, defensive lapses and overall kookiness. How will the Fenway faithful receive him? Also on the FOX Saturday Baseball docket; Joe Mauer and the AL Central-leading Twins visit the hard-hitting Phillies. In DC, the Nationals look to ride the wave created by phenom Stephen Strasburg in their series against Ozzie Guillen’s White Sox. This week, the pregame show originates live from Fenway Park in Boston, MA with host Chris Rose. Once game action begins, Rose joins the game crew including Joe Buck, Tim McCarver and Ken Rosenthal as a field reporter.

ROSENTHAL: “BRAVES ARMED FOR A FIGHT IN NL EAST” – With the NL East up for grabs, MLB on FOX’s Ken Rosenthal discusses how the Braves can swoop in and steal the division title away. “If pitching depth is the determining factor in the National League East, the Braves will be awfully difficult to beat,” said Rosenthal. “The Braves rank sixth in the league in ERA, second to the Mets in the NL East but their staff only figures to get stronger. The Braves could use their pitching surplus for trade purposes — they’ve been poking around for a right-handed hitting outfielder. Or, they could keep their depth intact and await the return of Matt Diaz from thumb surgery around the All-Star break. The other NL East contenders are not in nearly as good shape. The Mets could make a big move for a starter. The Phillies should snap out of their offensive doldrums. The Marlins will at least hang around, and so might the Nats. But right now, no team looks as well-positioned as the Braves.”
