STAMFORD, Conn. – May 5, 2021 – First-place Manchester City look to clinch the Premier League title this Saturday, May 8 as they host Chelsea at 12:30 p.m. ET on NBC and Universo, highlighting PL action across NBC Sports this weekend.
With a victory on Saturday, Manchester City, who topped Crystal Palace, 2-0, last weekend, would clinch their third Premier League title in the last four seasons, having won back-to-back titles in 2018 and 2019. Christian Pulisic and fourth-place Chelsea are three points ahead of fifth-place West Ham as the chase for a top-four finish heats up. Arlo White and former Premier League player Graeme Le Saux will call the match live from Etihad Stadium.
This weekend’s coverage begins Friday, May 7 at 2 p.m. ET with Premier League Live on NBCSN, followed by third-place Leicester City hosting Newcastle at 3 p.m. ET on NBCSN and Universo.
Rebecca Lowe hosts this weekend’s Premier League Mornings, Premier League Live and Goal Zone shows alongside former Jamaica National Team player Robbie Earle and former Premier League player Tim Howard Saturday and Sunday, and Howard and former Premier League player Danny Higginbotham Monday. Liam McHugh hosts Friday’s coverage with Howard and Higginbotham.
Saturday’s coverage begins at 7 a.m. ET on NBCSN with Premier League Mornings, followed by Leeds United-Tottenham at 7:30 a.m. ET on NBCSN and Universo. At 10 a.m. ET, Crystal Palace visit Sheffield United (NBCSN, Universo).
Following Saturday’s 12:30 p.m. ET Manchester City-Chelsea match (NBC, Universo), Liverpool host Southampton at 3:15 p.m. ET as Peacock presents the match in both English and Spanish. Copan Alvarez and Carlos Hermosillo will call the action in Spanish.
On Sunday, match coverage begins at 7 a.m. ET with Brighton & Hove Albion visiting Wolverhampton Wanderers on Peacock, followed by Aston Villa v. Manchester United at 9:05 a.m. ET (Peacock) and West Ham v. Everton at 11:30 a.m. ET (NBCSN, Peacock, Telemundo). At 2 p.m. ET on NBC, Arsenal host West Brom, who would be relegated with a loss. White and former Arsenal player Lee Dixon will call the match live from Emirates Stadium.
The weekend’s coverage concludes Monday, May 10 on NBCSN as Fulham host Burnley at 3 p.m. ET, followed by Goal Zone at 5 p.m. ET.
