Telecast marks LHN’s fifth consecutive year of game coverage
Longhorn Network, ESPN’s 24-hour network devoted to The University of Texas, will air UT football’s 2015 home opener against Rice University on Saturday, Sept.12 at 7 p.m. CT. LHN’s Kevin Dunn and Keith Moreland will call the game, with sideline reporting by Jane Slater.
LHN’s coverage of the Rice game will begin with a two-hour Texas GameDay anchored by Lowell Galindo, along with analysts Ricky Williams, Vince Young and David Thomas. A one-hour telecast of Texas GameDay Final Powered by Chevy Silverado will air following the game.
This fall will mark the fifth consecutive year LHN has carried the Texas home opener, and the second time LHN will air a home opener against Rice. In 2012, LHN aired the opener against Wyoming; in 2013, against New Mexico State; and in 2014, against North Texas.
Since its launch in 2011, LHN has aired over 3000 hours of original programming including more than 175 UT athletic events in 17 sports annually, as well as academic and cultural programming from in and around the greater Austin community.
