Indiana University head coach Tom Crean will join CBS Sports’ and Turner Sports’ coverage of the 2011 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship, serving as a guest analyst in the Atlanta studio. Crean will join the studio team of host Matt Winer and analysts Seth Davis and Steve Smith, working the FIRST FOUR games on truTV on Wednesday, March 16 as well as the Second Round games on Thursday, March 17 and Friday, March 18, which will air across TBS, CBS, TNT and truTV.
Crean has served as the head basketball coach of the Indiana Hoosiers since 2008. Prior to Indiana, Crean was the head coach of Marquette University, where he made five NCAA tournament appearances, including the 2003 Final Four. Crean has 24 years of NCAA coaching experience, including 12 years as a head coach.
CBS Sports’ and Turner Sports’ exclusive coverage of the 2011 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship tips off with first-round coverage of the NCAA FIRST FOUR tomorrow, Tuesday, March 15, and continues Wednesday, March 16 (6:30 PM, ET; both days) on truTV. The match-ups featured on Tuesday include UNC-Asheville vs. University of Arkansas-Little Rock followed by the University of Alabama at Birmingham vs. Clemson. The games on Wednesday include the University of Texas at San Antonio vs. Alabama State followed by the University of Southern California vs. Virginia Commonwealth University.
