PREVIEW THE LPGA’S FINAL MAJOR OF 2015, THE EVIAN CHAMPIONSHIP, AND THE 2015 SOLHEIM CUP

Golf Channel analysts – two-time U.S. Solheim Cup Captain (1996, 1998) and Hall-of-Famer Judy Rankin, two-time European Solheim Cup Team Member (2005, 2011) Karen Stupples and LPGA veteran Kay Cockerill will preview and answer media questions on the LPGA’s final major of 2015, the Evian Championship and the storylines leading into the biennial Solheim Cup match play competition.

Golf Channel and NBC will air coverage of the LPGA’s final major championship of 2015, the Evian Championship, taking place at Evian Resort Golf Club in Evian-Les-Bains, France, Sept 10-13. Golf Channel will air live coverage of the first three rounds Thursday-Saturday. On Sunday, Golf Channel and NBC will combine for final round coverage, with NBC airing the final 90 minutes of tournament action. In total, Golf Channel will air more than 22 hours of the Evian Championship, the most hours of coverage in the history of the championship.

The following week, Golf Channel will televise nearly 30 hours of live match play at the 2015 Solheim Cup, Sept. 18-20, from St. Leon-Rot Golf Club in Heidelberg, Germany. The three days of coverage will commence the moment the first pair tees off on Friday until the last putt drops on Sunday – more than 10 consecutive hours of live coverage on Friday and Saturday, and six hours on Sunday. Golf Channel also will air live coverage of the opening and closing ceremonies.
