Harold Reynolds, MLB on FOX, NASCAR on FOX Highlight Five Wins
New York – FOX Sports earned honors in five different categories when the 35th Annual Sports Emmy Awards were revealed on Tuesday night in New York City. Among its 22 nominations across various fields, the network took home awards in the categories of studio analyst, event coverage, and audio and technical production.
Major League Baseball was a big winner on FOX Sports, as coverage of the 109th World Series on FOX was named the best live sports special of the year. The presentation of the American League Championship Series between the Boston Red Sox and Detroit Tigers was awarded Outstanding Playoff Coverage, while MLB on FOX garnered the outstanding live event audio/sound award for its performance throughout the season. MLB on FOX and MLB Network analyst Harold Reynolds was honored with Outstanding Sports Personality – Studio Analyst, in what was a tie with current MLB on FOX broadcast partner and MLB Network contributor Tom Verducci.
NASCAR on FOX’s coverage received the Sports Emmy for Outstanding Technical Team Remote.
