Thursday evening’s pregame show is hosted by FOX COLLEGE SATURDAY’s Erin Andrews with analysts Joel Klatt, Eddie George, Mike Pereira and Clay Travis. Play-by-play announcer Justin Kutcher, analyst Petros Papadakis and sideline reporter Kristina Pink call the action from Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City.
Coverage continues the following night, as reigning Big 12 Champion K-State welcomes North Dakota State to Bill Snyder Family Football Stadium in Manhattan, Kan., at 8:30 PM ET on Friday, Aug. 30, with Craig Bolerjack on play-by-play, Joey Harrington providing analysis and Ryan Nece on the sidelines.
College football is in full swing on Saturday, Aug. 31, and FOX Sports 1 has it covered from kickoff to the final snap. Coverage gets underway at 10:00 AM ET with the season debut of FOX COLLEGE SATURDAY, a weekly two-hour pregame studio show featuring Andrews, Klatt, George, Papadakis, Pereira and Travis. FOX COLLEGE SATURDAY goes in-depth with college football’s top teams, previewing the day’s games and breaking down storylines from across the country.
A tripleheader of college football follows, beginning at 12:00 PM ET with William & Mary at West Virginia in Morgantown at Milan Puskar Stadium, while the Mark Helfrich era begins at 4:00 PM ET as No. 3 Oregon welcomes Nicholls State to Autzen Stadium in Eugene. Saturday’s action concludes under the lights as Washington and No. 19 Boise State meet at Husky Stadium for a rematch of last year’s season-ending Las Vegas Bowl, a nail-biting 28-26 Broncos victory.
FOX Sports’ lead team of play-by-play announcer Gus Johnson, analyst Charles Davis and sideline reporter Kristina Pink call Boise State-Washington from Seattle, with rules analyst Mike Pereira in the LA studio. Justin Kutcher handles play-by-play of Nicholls State-Oregon with James Bates on analysis and Brady Poppinga on the sidelines, while play-by-play broadcaster Adam Alexander and analyst Chris Simms call William & Mary-West Virginia. Rob Stone and Coy Wire are in the studio during halftimes with Patrick O’Neal on gamebreaks.
In addition, FOX Deportes, the No. 1 Latino sports network, will kick off its college football season with the Nicholls State at Oregon game live at 4:00 PM ET. Veteran analyst Pablo Alsina is once again accompanied by play-by-play commentator John Laguna during FOX Deportes’ second season of live college football coverage.
FOX Sports college football personalities sat down before the start of the season to discuss the off-season’s top stories and offered their early picks for the BCS Championship. Andrews, Pereira and Travis took Alabama as their selection to win it all, while Klatt and Papadakis predict Stanford will walk away with the trophy, and George went with his alma mater, Ohio State.
