NBCSN’s 5-8 P.M. ET Show Follows Live NBCSN Simulcast of Sky Sports News’ 2-5 P.M. ET Program
NBC Sports & Sky Sports News On-Air Commentators to Offer Analysis on Both Shows
STAMFORD, CONN. – January 28, 2019 – In their first major sports collaboration on U.S. TV since Comcast acquired Sky, NBC Sports and Sky Sports News will combine to present an extensive “Premier League Transfer Deadline Day Special” for U.S. viewers this Thursday, Jan. 31 on NBCSN.
Beginning at 2 p.m. ET, NBCSN will present six hours of live coverage for the hugely anticipated in-season transfer deadline day.
NBCSN’s coverage kicks off with a simulcast of Sky Sports News’ live show from 2-5 p.m. ET. Then at 5 p.m. ET, live coverage continues from NBC Sports’ International Broadcast Center in Stamford, Conn., with a three-hour show featuring host Rebecca Lowe and analysts Robbie Earle, Kyle Martino, and Robbie Mustoe.
In addition, NBC Sports’ commentators will be offering analysis during the Sky Sports News telecast, while Sky Sports News presenters will welcome the NBCSN audience at the top of each hour and will also file a report for the NBCSN show.
“We look forward to sharing the unique content that NBC Sports and Sky Sports create, which will offer viewers in the U.S. and the U.K. more robust coverage and perspective on the world’s most popular sports,” said Sam Flood, Executive Producer & President, Production, NBC & NBCSN.
While this Thursday’s Premier League show marks the first program-length, on-air collaboration in the U.S. between the sports divisions, during the 2018 NFL season Sky Sports aired NBC’s Football Night in America in the U.K.
The “Premier League Transfer Deadline Day Special” will be streamed on NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app — NBC Sports Group’s live streaming product for desktops, mobile devices, tablets, and connected TVs. Coverage will be streamed via “TV Everywhere,” giving consumers additional value for their subscription service, and making high quality content available to MVPD customers both in and out of the home and on multiple platforms. The NBC Sports app is powered by Playmaker Media and available on the iTunes App Store, Google Play, Roku Channel Store, Apple TV and Amazon Fire.
