Kruk, on Phillies need to acquire Roy Halladay: “It was demoralizing. Yes, we went to the World Series, but we think we could have won the series if we had Randy Johnson. I think that’s the same way the Phillies players are going to look at this. ‘We had a chance to get him for prospects that we don’t know how good they’re going to be for a guy that’s established, and we’re going to have him for next year also.’ You’re looking at (Chase) Utley, (Ryan) Howard, (Jimmy) Rollins, these guys are in the prime of their careers. You get this guy for another year, who knows? The Phillies could win two or three World Series in a row with Roy Halladay, that’s how good he is. I make the deal if I’m the Phillies. I try to get the ace, put him with (Cole) Hamels, and try to run this postseason and next and win three in a row.”
