ESPN Deportes Radio 1050AM New York debuts three new sports talk shows led by local talent with a focus on New York’s favorite teams. The new offerings support the network’s efforts to better serve the New York Hispanic sports fan and further complement the comprehensive content provided by ESPN Deportes Radio network, including the established national sports shows and the more than 300 live sports events throughout the year.
ESPN Deportes Radio 1050AM New York’s new live programming:
- Fusion 1050: Hosted by DJ George Nenadich alongside Jose Luis Urena, the dynamic talk show combines the world of sports and music to offer fans unique highlights and commentary around current sports news with special guests. The show, airing Saturdays from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., launched last month and has already featured recognized music and sports personalities such as Bachata Heights, Tony Dize, and Frankie Negron. Upcoming guests include Bernie Williams, Ruben Blades, Jerry Rivera, Jorge Posada, and many others.
- El Mundo de las Grandes Ligas: Dedicated to covering MLB news, native New Yorker and the Spanish-language voice for the Yankees Felix DeJesus provides a preview of all MLB action for the week ahead. Listeners can tune-in every Sunday from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. E.T. starting this Sunday, April 5.
- Resumen Final: The high-energy show offering the most complete coverage of local teams is hosted by a team of experienced sports narrators: one of the most versatile local sports radio voices Nestor Rosario; MLB and NBA expert, Santiago Dolcine; and DeJesus. Airing on weekdays from 10:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. E.T., the show will provide post-game interviews and top list of Latin players. The show debuts on Monday, April 6.
The shows complement the already established local studio programming that includes Firma ESPN (weekdays; 7-10am) and Zona ESPN NY (weekdays; 2-4pm), led by some of the most recognized ESPN Deportes personalities: Ernesto Jerez, Enrique Rojas, Carolina Guillen, Sebastian Christensen and Jorge Ebro.
ESPN Deportes Radio 1050AM New York launched in September, 2012. Since then, the station has grown to become the sports destination for Hispanic listeners across greater New York area, and the Spanish-language audio home of some of NY’s favorite teams including NY Mets and the Jets.
