Schedule Update: 13 Undefeated Teams Featured Including No. 8 Florida at No. 6 LSU Showdown

ESPN will showcase top college football matchups this week highlighted by 13 of the remaining 16 unbeaten teams, the top eight ranked teams and four games between ranked squads.
An ESPN quadrupleheader Saturday, Oct. 17 will include five undefeated teams and six of the top 12 ranked programs beginning with No. 11 Florida State against Louisville at noon ET. The next two games will pit undefeated No. 7 Michigan State at No. 12 Michigan, whose only loss was to undefeated No. 4 Utah in the season-opener, at 3:30 p.m. followed by No. 8 Florida at No. 6 LSU in a showdown between two of the three unbeaten SEC squads at 7 p.m. The late telecast will match No. 4 Utah against Arizona State at 10 p.m.
Additional highlights for Saturday, Oct. 17:
- The schedule for ABC will include three undefeated teams beginning at noon: No. 17 Iowa at one-loss Northwestern and Memphis against one-loss No. 13 Ole Miss (ESPN2 will show the game viewers do not receive on ABC). The Saturday Night Footballcontest at 8 p.m. will feature undefeated No. 1 Ohio State against one-loss Penn State.
- Two games at 7 p.m. will feature a top five-team in each with No. 3 TCU at Iowa State on ESPN2 and No. 5 Clemson against Boston College on ESPNU.

College GameDay Returns to Michigan’s Campus for 12th Time

ESPN College GameDay Built by The Home Depot – college football’s longest running and most celebrated pregame show – will make its 12th stop on the campus of the University of Michigan on Saturday, Oct. 17. The Emmy Award-winning show, airing Saturday from 9 a.m. – noon on ESPN from the south side of Ingalls Mall, is the precursor to No. 7 Michigan State at No. 12 Michigan at 3:30 p.m. on ESPN. Sean McDonough, Chris Spielman and Todd McShay will have the call of the game.
Host Rece Davis – in his first season at the College GameDay desk – is joined by analysts Kirk Herbstreit, Lee Corso, Desmond Howard and David Pollack, as well as contributors Samantha Ponder, Tom Rinaldi, George Whitfield and Gene Wojciechowski.
College Football Live will originate from the College GameDay set Friday, Oct. 9, at 2 p.m. on ESPN with Ponder, Howard and Pollack at the desk.

SEC Nation Heads to Texas A&M, Finishes Out October with Trips to Alabama and Kentucky

SEC Network’s traveling pregame show, after visiting Texas A&M this week, has slated its campus stops for the last two weeks in October, visiting Tuscaloosa, Ala. (Sat, Oct. 24) and Lexington, Ky. (Sat, Oct. 30). Saturday, Oct. 24 will mark SEC Nation analyst Greg McElroy’s first Alabama homecoming since joining the show earlier this year. McElroy won a National Championship for the Crimson Tide in 2010 as quarterback under head coach Nick Saban. Similar to last year, the show will be surrounded by the tailgating scene across from Denny Chimes, in front of Moore Hall.
SEC Nation returns to Kentucky on Saturday, Oct. 31, live from the stadium’s “Purple Lot” (off Alumni Drive, adjacent to the football practice facility construction) utilizing Commonwealth Stadium as the show’s backdrop. Both shows begin live at 10 a.m. ET.

SportsCenter on the Road Visits South Carolina

SportsCenter on the Road will originate from the University of South Carolina with a two-hour program Saturday, Oct. 17, prior to that day’s SEC football matchup between the Gamecocks and visiting Vanderbilt. Hosted by Matt Barrie and Sara Walsh, SportsCenter will begin at 7 a.m. and will lead into College GameDay at 9 a.m. on ESPN. In addition to regular SportsCenter news, highlights and analysis, the program, which will air from the famous Horseshoe on the school’s campus, also will have special guests and interviews related to the game and location. Joining Barrie and Walsh will be SportsCenter reporter Marty Smith, ESPN.com college football writer Chris Low and ESPN.com columnist Mark Schlabach. The game will air on the SEC Network at 4 p.m.
On a big day of college football, SportsCenter will have anchors and reporters at five other game sites during the program, with Randy Scott reporting from LSU, Zubin Mehenti at Michigan (with the ESPN College GameDay crew). Shelley Smith at Notre Dame, Kaylee Hartung and the SEC Nation team at Texas A&M and Trevor Matich at Ohio State.

ESPN College Football Week 6 Viewership: Five of Six Most-Watched Games; ABC Televises Most-Viewed Game of the Week

ESPN/ABC televised five of the six most-watched games in college football week 6, including the most-watched game of the week – then-No. 10 Oklahoma vs. Texas (noon ET on ABC) which earned an average of 4,992,000 viewers. The 2015 edition of the Red River Rivalry was the most-watched Sooners-Longhorn matchup since 2011 — up 18% from 2014, 6% from 2013 and 12% from 2012 (all three games at noon on ABC). Additionally, this season’s Oklahoma-Texas matchup is up 53% from the same television window in 2014 (Ohio State at Maryland).
On WatchESPN, No. 23 Cal at No. 5 Utah (ESPN at 10:15 p.m.) was the most-streamed game in week 6 with an additional 87,000 average minute impressions to the TV audience and a total of 343,000 unique viewers accounting for 19,654,000 minutes viewed. The matchup was the fourth most-streamed regular season college football game ever on WatchESPN and, now, four of WatchESPN’s five most-streamed regular-season college football games have occurred this season:
