NEW YORK (Aug. 3, 2011) – Mr. Wilson goes to Washington…and so does the rest of the San Francisco Giants in episode four of The Franchise. While most powerful figures won’t disclose what scares them, President Obama freely admits that he “fears the beard,” during the traditional World Series Champion trip to the White House. While in the nation’s capital, utility infielder Manny Burris takes an emotional stroll down memory lane in his old neighborhood as he recalls losing his best friend in a drive-by shooting. Burris reveals that his first – and only – Major League home run ball resides at his friend’s grave site.
One hundred fifty miles up Interstate 95, the brotherly love was certainly lacking as the Giants returned to the Phillies’ backyard for the first time since their 2010 playoff series. Watch the clip below of Chris “Mad Dog” Russo in Philly giving an in-depth assessment of his beloved Giants’ resiliency and a portion of his interview with skipper Bruce Bochy.
