STAMFORD, Conn. – May 20, 2014 – NBC Sports Group’s coverage of the 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs Conference Finals continues tomorrow night, when Jonathan Toews and the Chicago Blackhawks host Jonathan Quick and the Los Angeles Kings in Game 2 of the Western Conference Final at 8 p.m. ET on NBCSN.
Tomorrow’s coverage starts at 7 p.m. ET on NBCSN with NHL Live, featuring host Liam McHugh and analysts Mike Milbury and Jeremy Roenick, leading into live game coverage from United Center in Chicago. NBC Sports Live Extra – NBC Sports Group’s live streaming product for desktops, mobile devices, and tablets – will provide streaming coverage of Wednesday night’s Western Conference Final action, beginning at 7 p.m. ET, via “TV Everywhere,” the media industry’s effort to make quality content available to authenticated customers both in and out of the home and on multiple platforms.
The Blackhawks took Game 1 of the series with a 3-1 win over the Kings on Sunday afternoon, as Brandon Saad notched a goal and an assist, and Corey Crawford stopped 26 of 27 shots he faced, as Chicago improved to a perfect 7-0 at home in the 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Coverage of the Eastern Conference Final between the Montreal Canadiens and New York Rangers continues on Thursday with Game 3 at 8 p.m. ET on NBCSN, as the Rangers look to move within one victory of a Stanley Cup Final berth. The Rangers took control of the series with a 3-1 win in Game 2 on Monday night in Montreal to earn a 2-0 series lead, as forwards Martin St. Louis and Rick Nash found the back of the net in the victory, and Henrik Lundqvist made 40 saves to deny Montreal.

SECOND ROUND OF 2014 STANLEY CUP PLAYOFFS IS MOST-WATCHED SECOND ROUND ON CABLE ON RECORD
The second round of the 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs stands as the most-watched second round on cable on record (since 1994). The 25 games that aired on NBCSN and CNBC averaged 1.458 million, up two percent from last year’s second round (1.431 million, 21 games).
NBCSN delivered four of the network’s top six most-watched second-round games ever this year.

Through the first two rounds, the 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs rank as the most-watched on cable on record (since 1994). The 65 games have averaged 880,000 combined viewers on NBCSN and CNBC, up 19% vs. last year (742,000 for 63 games).
The eight games that have aired on NBC through the first two rounds have averaged 2.141 million viewers, up 10% vs. last year (1.941 million, 6 games).
NBC, NBCSN and CNBC have combined to average 1.026 million viewers through the first two rounds (73 games), up 20% vs. last year’s first two rounds (852,000, 69 games).
For the third consecutive year, NBC Sports Group is televising all NHL playoff games nationally. NBC Sports Group’s exclusive coverage of the 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs began in the second round. Cable games were subjected to local blackouts in the first round.
