MLB Tonight to Air Before and After Every Postseason Game
Secaucus, N.J., September 28, 2011 –Oakland Athletics pitcher Dallas Braden and San Francisco Giants infielder Mark DeRosa will serve as guest studio analysts during MLB Network’s extensive coverage of the 2011 Major League Baseball Postseason, including more than 150 live hours of studio programming beginning on Thursday, September 29. Braden, who threw the 19th perfect game in MLB history and the second in A’s franchise history last season, will be the first guest analyst to visit Studio 3 with a two-night stint on MLB Network’s Emmy Award-winning signature studio show MLB Tonight starting this Friday, September 30. Braden’s 2011 season was cut short due to shoulder surgery in May. DeRosa, who was a member of the 2010 World Champion Giants and has a career .358 Postseason batting average, will join MLB Tonight from October 3 through 5.
MLB Network will air previews, highlights, analysis, interviews and press conferences across all of its studio programming throughout the Postseason and in the event of possible N.L. and A.L. tie-breaker games tomorrow, September 29. MLB Tonight will air live before and after every Postseason game, with reporters on-site at each ballpark during the Division Series and Championship Series, and MLB Tonight and Intentional Talk on the road during the World Series. As part of its Postseason coverage, MLB Network will air edited versions of every 2011 tiebreaker (if necessary), Division Series, Championship Series and World Series game the day after they’re played.
