Phillies Spring Training and Phantoms Hockey Also on the Schedule
Network Celebrates Black History throughout the Month
PHILADELPHIA – (January 30, 2013) – During the month of February, Comcast SportsNet and The Comcast Network will air 65 games including Flyers, Sixers, Phillies Spring Training, Adirondack Phantoms and college basketball games featuring local teams Drexel, St. Joseph’s, Delaware and La Salle. The 65 games will be over the course of 26 days with only two non-game days (February 14 and 19).
In addition to the 65 games, the networks will also carry a full complement of news, talk, magazine shows and pre and post-game live programs for all Flyers and Sixers games on Comcast SportsNet and The Comcast Network.
“Daily News Live” will also hit the road in February as the program airs live from Phillies Spring Training in Clearwater, FL beginning on Monday, February 11 through Friday, February 15. Host Michael Barkann will be joined by writers from the Philadelphia Daily News and members of the Phillies organization.
Throughout the month of February, Comcast SportsNet and The Comcast Network will celebrate Black History Month with profiles of prominent members of our sports community, including former Philadelphia Eagles Ike Reese, Mike Quick, Leonard Weaver and Brian Westbrook. Local and national stories that promote the spirit of Black History Month will also be featured on Comcast SportsNet’s news and talk programs.
