ESPN will televise the College Football Playoff National Championship Presented by AT&T featuring Alabama vs. Clemson on Monday, January 11, at 8:30 p.m. and will have plenty of studio coverage this week leading up to the game. Game telecast details, as well as ESPN programming originating from on-location in Phoenix, will be released shortly.
College Football Live Originates from Alabama and Clemson
College Football Live – ESPN’s daily college football news and information show – will have a busy week, at the campuses of Alabama and Clemson and from Phoenix, the site of the College Football Playoff National Championship.
The show will originate Tuesday-Thursday from the campuses of Alabama and Clemson. Host Joe Tessitore, along with analysts Mark May and Booger McFarland and reporter Tom Rinaldi, will be live from Tuscaloosa, Ala. Cotter will be joined by Kanell and analyst Joey Galloway, as well as reporters Samantha Ponder and Marty Smith from Clemson. The 60-minute shows will air at 1:30 p.m. on ESPN.
The show will travel to Phoenix for Friday with Cotter, analysts Galloway, Jesse Palmer, Mack Brown and Todd McShay, plus contributor George Whitfield, at 1:30 p.m. on ESPN.
SportsCenter Following Alabama, Clemson to National Title Game
With live shows and reporters at both campuses early in the week, and programs from Phoenix prior to and after the game, SportsCenter will thoroughly preview and review Monday night’s college football national championship game between Clemson and Alabama.
SportsCenter has reporters Rinaldi (Alabama) and Smith (Clemson) embedded with the two teams, for live reports, with David Lloyd hosting at 1 p.m. from Clemson on Tuesday and Wednesday, and from Alabama on Thursday. Lindsay Czarniak hosts the 6 p.m. program from Clemson on Wednesday, Alabama on Thursday and Phoenix on Friday.
SportsCenter will be live from College Football Playoff Media Day from 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Saturday with anchors Matt Barrie, Sara Walsh and Tessitore, while John Anderson and John Buccigross will host the 11 p.m. program from Phoenix Saturday and Sunday nights.
SportsCenter will surround Monday night’s game live from Phoenix from 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. and then following the game. To wrap up the event, Czarniak will host the 6 p.m. SportsCenter from the campus of the new national champion on Tuesday night.
Saban, Swinney Together in Face to Face with Hannah Storm
The rival coaches in Monday night’s college football national championship game will sit down together for an in-depth interview in Face to Face with Hannah Storm, a SportsCenter special Monday at 2:30 p.m. on ESPN. Alabama’s Nick Saban and Clemson’s Dabo Swinney will discuss the game, their seasons and other subjects with ESPN’s Hannah Storm in the half-hour special.
