Four-and-a-Half Hours of Live Coverage Presented Friday-Sunday From the Utah Olympic Oval

STAMFORD, Conn. – Dec. 15, 2021 – Exclusive live coverage of the U.S. Olympic Team Trials for Short Track is presented this weekend on NBC, NBCSN, and Peacock from the Utah Olympic Oval in Kearns, Utah. All three individual Olympic distances (500m, 1000m, 1500m) will be contested twice at the Trials with the results determining the Olympic team. The U.S. earned qualifying spots for five women and two men at the 2022 Winter Olympics.

The field of Olympic hopefuls includes Kristen Santos, who is ranked second in the world in the women’s 1000m and fourth in the 1500m, 2018 Olympian Maame Biney, who became the first Black woman to compete for the U.S. in Olympic short track, and 20-year-old rising star Brandon Kim on the men’s side.

Opening night coverage on Friday features the men’s and women’s 500m live at 8:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN and Peacock. Saturday’s live coverage gets underway at 5:30 p.m. ET with the men’s and women’s 1500m on NBCSN and Peacock. The men’s and women’s 1000m mark the final events of Trials competition airing Sunday live at 4:30 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock.

Ted Robinson will call the Trials from Utah, alongside two-time Olympic medalist Katherine Adamek (analyst), and Andrea Joyce (reporter).

Coverage on NBC and NBCSN is live streamed on NBCOlympics.com and the NBC Sports app.

Speed Skating on Peacock Premium Includes Live, Commercial-Free Coverage of ISU World Cup Events, ISU World Short Track Championships & More

STAMFORD, Conn. – Jan. 14, 2021 – NBC Sports’ exclusive speed skating streaming coverage, offering fans extensive live and commercial-free events, will move from NBC Sports Gold’s “Speed Skating Pass” to Peacock Premium beginning with the start of the 2021 season this Saturday, Jan. 16. Peacock Premium is available for $4.99 per month.

Speed skating on Peacock Premium features comprehensive coverage of major 2021 international competitions, including the World Speed Skating Championships and World Short Track Championships. Coverage begins with European Speed Skating Championships this Saturday and culminates with the 2021 World Short Track Speed Skating Championships from March 6-7.
