STAMFORD, Conn. – May 26, 2020 – Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Eli Manning, and J.J. Watt headline tonight’s classic sports-themed Saturday Night Live episodes on NBCSN, beginning tonight at 7 p.m. ET. Tonight’s NFL star hosts have combined to earn 37 Pro Bowl honors, 10 Super Bowl titles, eight NFL MVPs, seven Super Bowl MVPs, and three NFL Defensive Player of the Year awards.

Programming will also stream on NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app.

Below is more information on tonight’s SNL Week programming:

TUESDAY, MAY 26 – TOM BRADY, PEYTON MANNING, ELI MANNING, & J.J. WATT

SNL EPISODE TIME (ET) NETWORK
Tom Brady: April 16, 2005 7 p.m. NBCSN
Peyton Manning: March 24, 2007 8 p.m. NBCSN
Eli Manning: May 5, 2012 9 p.m. NBCSN
J.J. Watt: Feb. 1, 2020 10 p.m. NBCSN

TOM BRADY: APRIL 16, 2005 AT 7 P.M. ET

Tom Brady kicks off tonight’s SNL slate tonight at 7 p.m. ET on NBCSN. The episode features Brady’s only SNL hosting appearance, which aired on April 16, 2005, two months after he won the third of his six Super Bowl titles while with the New England Patriots.

The winningest quarterback in NFL history, Brady holds records for Super Bowl titles by a player (six), Super Bowl MVP awards (four), and regular season victories (219). Brady, who also won three regular-season NFL MVP awards, joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in March, after 20 seasons with the New England Patriots.

PEYTON MANNING: MARCH 24, 2007 AT 8 P.M. ET

In addition to starring on the field, Peyton Manning earned acclaim for humorous TV commercials throughout and following his playing career. He made his lone SNL hosting appearance on March 24, 2007, just a month after his MVP performance in Super Bowl XLI. This episode highlights Manning’s memorable spoof of an United Way commercial.

The only quarterback to lead multiple franchises to Super Bowl victories, Manning spent his first 13 seasons with the Indianapolis Colts, before joining the Denver Broncos for his final four seasons. The winner of a record five NFL regular-season MVP awards, his Super Bowl XLI victory was the Colts’ first Super Bowl title in 36 years and first since relocating to Indianapolis. With the Broncos in 2013, he set NFL records for passing yards (5,477) and touchdown passes (55) in a season, and led Denver to the second of four consecutive division titles. His final NFL game was a victory in Super Bowl 50.

ELI MANNING: MAY 5, 2012 AT 9 P.M. ET

Following brother Peyton, Eli Manning continues the night’s SNL Week slate at 9 p.m. ET on NBCSN. The episode originally aired on May 5, 2012, three months after he led the New York Giants to a Super Bowl XLVI victory and earning his second Super Bowl MVP award. Manning is one of only five players in NFL history to win multiple Super Bowl MVPs.

Leading up to the episode, SNL showrunner Lorne Michaels shared his thoughts on Eli: “I think he’s both charming and radiates a certain kind of intelligence and I don’t know how to say this, but you sort of believe that he doesn’t take himself that seriously.”

Recently retired, Manning spent his entire 16-year NFL career with the New York Giants, setting franchise records for passing yards, touchdown passes, and completed passes. He is known for two improbable Super Bowl-winning postseason runs in 2007 and 2011, leading the Giants to victories against the New England Patriots in Super Bowls XLII and XLVI.

J.J. WATT: FEB. 1, 2020 AT 10 P.M. ET

J.J. Watt is no stranger to television, appearing as himself in TV series “New Girl” and “The League,” as well as movies “Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk” and “Bad Moms.” He also hosted the 2016 CMT Music Awards alongside Erin Andrews. The 13th NFL player and 27th athlete to host SNL, Watt made his debut just three months ago, the night before the Chiefs won Super Bowl LIV over the 49ers on Feb. 2.

Drafted by the Houston Texans in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft, Watt joins Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor as the only three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year (2012, 2014, 2015) honorees. In 2014, the defensive end became the first player in NFL history to record two 20+ sack seasons in a career. Watt holds the Texans’ franchise records for sacks and forced fumbles.

MICHAEL JORDAN: SEPT. 28, 1991 AT 8 P.M. ET

Michael Jordan kicks off NBCSN’s SNL Week tonight at 8 p.m. ET. The episode features Jordan’s one and only SNL hosting appearance, which aired on Sept. 28, 1991, three months after he won the first of his six NBA championships with the Chicago Bulls.

Widely regarded as the “greatest of all time,” Jordan won six NBA titles, six NBA Finals MVPs, five NBA MVP awards, and two Olympic gold medals, including one with the historic 1992 Olympic ‘Dream Team.’ The Hall of Famer holds records for the most NBA Finals MVP awards (six), and the highest career scoring averages in NBA regular-season (30.1 points per game) and playoff (33.4) history. Jordan also had a storied college career at North Carolina, highlighted by his freshman season in 1981-82, where he scored the winning points in the Tar Heels’ NCAA title game victory.

LEBRON JAMES: SEPT. 29, 2007 AT 9 P.M. ET

One of only three players to win NBA Finals MVP awards for multiple franchises, LeBron James has become a media mogul and entertainer, appearing in Amy Schumer’s movie Trainwreck and starring in the new Space Jam sequel, set to release in 2021. Before all that, he tested his comedy chops in his only SNL hosting appearance on Sept. 29, 2007. The show highlights James’ opening monologue, LeBronologue, a parody of his own Nike commercial.

Currently with the Los Angeles Lakers, James has garnered four NBA MVP awards, three NBA titles, three NBA Finals MVP awards, and two Olympic gold medals. The No. 1 overall pick in the 2003 NBA Draft by his hometown team, the Cleveland Cavaliers, James began his career with an NBA Rookie of the Year award in 2004. After a seven-year stint with the Cavaliers, James led the Miami Heat to back-to-back NBA titles (2012 and 2013). James returned to Cleveland in 2014 and led the Cavaliers to their first-ever championship win in 2016 – the first for a major professional team in Cleveland since 1964. He was named MVP of the NBA Finals each of the three times his teams won.

CHARLES BARKLEY: JAN. 9, 2010 AT 10 P.M. ET

Charles Barkley joins entertainer, former college football player and professional wrestler Dwayne Johnson, as the only athletes to have hosted SNL multiple times. Barkley has hosted SNL from 30 Rock a total of four times – Sep. 25, 1993 (coming off his NBA MVP award-winning season with the Phoenix Suns); Jan. 9, 2010; Jan. 7, 2012; and March 3, 2018 – with the latter two encoring on NBCSN this Friday night. Since 2000, he has been an NBA analyst at Turner Sports, winning numerous awards and accolades.

Barkley, a 2006 Basketball Hall of Fame inductee, established himself as one of the NBA’s most dominant power forwards, playing for the Philadelphia 76ers, Phoenix Suns and Houston Rockets throughout his 16-year NBA career. In 1993, Barkley earned the league’s MVP award and led the Suns to their first NBA Finals appearance since 1976. Along with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Wilt Chamberlain and Karl Malone, Barkley is one of only six players in NBA history to have compiled at least 20,000 points, 10,000 rebounds and 4,000 assists. A two-time Olympic gold medalist, Barkley was also a part of the iconic 1992 Olympic ‘Dream Team.’
