“No Huddle” will debut on the SiriusXM NFL Radio channel April 24 with a special preview episode; Show will air weekly this fall
NEW YORK – April 23, 2013 – Sirius XM Radio (NASDAQ: SIRI) announced today that Buffalo Bills legends Jim Kelly, Andre Reed and Steve Tasker will host a new show airing on SiriusXM NFL Radio (channel 88 for Sirius subscribers and XM Premier subscribers).
No Huddle will make its debut with a special preview broadcast this Wednesday, April 24 (7:00 pm ET) and will air in its weekly timeslot during the 2013 NFL season. This week’s show, which will be hosted by Kelly and Tasker, will feature a preview of the NFL Draft and discussions on the latest news happening around the league. Throughout the season, Kelly, Tasker and Reed will cover the NFL’s headline stories and discuss the NFL’s past, present and future with listeners nationwide.
Kelly, Reed and Tasker were among a core group of players who led the Buffalo Bills to eight playoff appearances in a nine-year span, four consecutive AFC Conference Championships (1990-93) and six division championships (1988, ’89, ’90, ’91, ’93 and ’95). All three players are members of the Bills’ prestigious Wall of Fame.
“Jim Kelly, Andre Reed and Steve Tasker are among the best ever to play in the NFL at their respective positions,” said Scott Greenstein, SiriusXM’s President and Chief Content Officer. “We’re thrilled to bring these guys together to re-capture the excitement of those talented Buffalo Bills teams of the late 80s and 90s and talk NFL with our listeners every week.”
Kelly was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2002, his first year of eligibility. He finished his 11 NFL seasons with 2,874 completions in 4,779 attempts for 35,467 yards and 237 touchdowns, all of which are Buffalo records. He recorded a NFL best 101.2 passer rating in 1990, led the league with 33 touchdowns passes in 1991, and made the Pro Bowl five times.
Reed, who was Kelly’s ‘go-to’ wide receiver with the Bills, ranks among the NFL’s all-time leaders in several receiving categories. Kelly and Reed connected for 65 TD’s during their career together, trailing only the tandems of Peyton Manning and Marvin Harrison, Steve Young and Jerry Rice, Peyton Manning and Reggie Wayne and Dan Marino and Mark Clayton for touchdowns by an NFL quarterback/receiver tandem. Reed ranks 11th all-time for total career receptions (951) and 12th all-time for total career receiving yards (13,198) and was selected to seven Pro Bowl teams.
Tasker is considered by many to be the greatest special teams player of all time. Despite standing just 5’9” and weighing 185 pounds, he developed a reputation as one of the game’s fiercest competitors. He played in seven Pro Bowls and became the only special teamer to be named the game’s MVP in 1993.
