STAMFORD, Conn. – June 15, 2020 – The 2019 Heritage Classic overtime matchup between the Winnipeg Jets and Calgary Flames tomorrow night on NBCSN at 7 p.m. ET headlines this week’s Hockey Happy Hour coverage on NBCSN, which spotlights 2019-20 regular-season games between potential Qualifying Round matchups. Two clashes between the Edmonton Oilers and Chicago Blackhawks from earlier this year will also be presented tonight at 5:30 p.m. ET and Wednesday at 6 p.m. ET on NBCSN.
NHL on NBC analyst Anson Carter, NBC Sports Chicago analyst Jamal Mayers and current professional women’s hockey player Blake Bolden will join host Liam McHugh for a conversation on race, diversity and inclusion in hockey on the latest episode of NBC Sports’ NHL weekly podcast, Our Line Starts, this Thursday at 5:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN.
Tomorrow at 6 p.m. ET on NBCSN, the hour-long series finale of NHL’s Who Wore It Best? features NBC Sports’ Keith Jones and Pierre McGuire taking part in a debate over the best players to wear the following jersey numbers in NHL history: 9, 7, 3, 2 and 1.
NHL Hat Trick Trivia Hosted by P.K. Subban continues tonight at 5 p.m. ET on NBCSN. Hosted by the New Jersey Devils defenseman, the show features fans answering a trio of hockey trivia questions from their homes, along with appearances from NHL players and celebrities, for the chance to win NHL prizes. Tampa Bay Lightning forward Alex Killorn will join the show, as well as Vegas Golden Knights defenseman Nate Schmidt, women’s hockey player Renata Fast, Philadelphia Flyers mascot Gritty, and series regular and NHL referee Wes McCauley.

In the first game they played this season without Connor McDavid following his quad injury, the Oilers’ 2019-20 Art Ross Trophy winner Leon Draisaitl registered four points and Kailer Yamamoto scored twice to propel Edmonton to a 5-3 home victory against Chicago.

NHL’S WHO WORE IT BEST? AT 6 P.M. ET
NHL’s Who Wore It Best? spotlights hockey writers, broadcasters and insiders debating the best players to wear each jersey number in NHL history. The hour-long series finale features Keith Jones and Pierre McGuire who take part in debating the following jersey numbers: 9, 7, 3, 2 and 1.
FLAMES-JETS (2019 HERITAGE CLASSIC) AT 7 P.M. ET
In the fifth installment of the NHL Heritage Classic, an outdoor game that is played exclusively between Canadian teams to celebrate the history and tradition of the country’s national sport, the Flames and Jets clashed at Mosaic Stadium in Regina, Saskatchewan, earlier this season.
Following a power play goal by Calgary in the second period, Winnipeg tied the matchup at one on a power play of their own late in the third period. In overtime, Winnipeg forward Bryan Little netted the winning goal to give the Jets the 2-1 victory.
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 17
OILERS-BLACKHAWKS (2019-20 REGULAR SEASON, MARCH 5, 2020) AT 6 P.M. ET
In the third and final regular season meeting between the two clubs, Chicago defeated Edmonton, 4-3, behind two goals from Alex DeBrincat and a goal each from Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews. The win was the fourth straight victory for the Blackhawks, who continued to climb the Western Conference standings in pursuit of the second wild-card spot.
THURSDAY, JUNE 18
SKATES & PLATES AT 5 P.M. ET
The NHL’s Skates & Plates is a cooking series that features a chef alongside an NHL player preparing a food dish together, giving viewers the chance to see how the two finished products compare. The second episode features New York Rangers defenseman Jacob Trouba with chef Marc Forgione learning how to prepare one of Trouba’s favorite dishes from Forgione’s eponymous New York City restaurant.
