TBS’ Giants/Nationals Telecast to be Seen Nationally
Sunday MLB on TBS will continue August 24 with a matchup of National League contenders when the Washington Nationals and Bryce Harper host the San Francisco Giants and Buster Posey at 1:30 p.m. ET. Stephen Strasburg is scheduled to take the mound for Washington against San Francisco’s probable starter Ryan Vogelsong. The Sunday MLB on TBS telecast will be seen nationally with Ernie Johnson providing play-by-play alongside analyst Ron Darling.
The upcoming Sunday MLB on TBS schedule will include the Chicago White Sox hosting the Detroit Tigers on August 31 at 2 p.m. The White Sox/Tigers telecast will be seen locally throughout the Chicago broadcast territory.
This season marks the first of Turner Sports’ new eight-year multimedia rights agreement with Major League Baseball that will extend the partnership to more than 40 years. As part of the new agreement, TBS has enhanced rights for its Sunday MLB on TBS game of the week with increased co-exist rights in the local markets. The network will also exclusively televise one Wild Card Game presented by Budweiser, two of the four Division Series with the MLB Division Series coverage on TBS presented by T-Mobile and one League Championship Series during the 2014 MLB Postseason.
