Teams Must ‘Win or Go Home’ as NBA Playoff Elimination Games Loom on TNT and NBA TV
TNT’s coverage of the NBA Playoffs continues Wednesday, April 29 at 8 p.m. ET with a doubleheader featuring Dwyane Wade and the Miami Heat taking on Joe Johnson and the Atlanta Hawks in Game #5 of their series which is tied at two games apiece. Calling the action will be Dick Stockton (play-by-play), Mike Fratello (analyst) and Cheryl Miller (reporter). At 10:30 p.m. ET, Carmelo Anthony and the Denver Nuggets will attempt to eliminate Chris Paul and the New Orleans Hornets in Game #5 of their series, which the Nuggets lead 3-1. Marv Albert (play-by-play), Reggie Miller (analyst) and Marc Fein (reporter) will call the game. To finish the evening’s coverage, Ernie Johnson (host), Charles Barkley (analyst), Kenny Smith (analyst) and Chris Webber (analyst) will break down the action on the Emmy® award-winning studio show Inside the NBA presented by Hyundai.
NBA action on TNT continues on Thursday, April 30 as the Chicago Bulls face elimination from the playoffs against the visiting Boston Celtics in Game #6 at 7 p.m. ET. The Celtics lead the best-of-seven series 3-2. Kevin Harlan (play-by-play), Doug Collins (analyst) and David Aldridge (reporter) will call the game. The second game of the doubleheader will see Brandon Roy and the Portland Trail Blazers trying to stay alive in the playoffs against Ron Artest and the Houston Rockets at 9:30 p.m. ET for Game #6. The Rockets can advance to the second round with a win. Sitting courtside to announce the game will be Matt Devlin (play-by-play), P.J. Carlesimo (analyst) and Craig Sager (reporter). The Emmy® award-winning studio show Inside the NBA presented by Hyundai with Johnson, Barkley and Smith who will conclude the evening.
NBA TV will also continue to provide extensive coverage of the 2009 NBA Playoffs on Wednesday, April 29 with NBA Gametime beginning at 7:30 p.m. ET with host Andre Aldridge and analyst Eric Snow breaking down the playoff match-ups and airing live press conferences throughout the evening.
On Thursday, April 30, NBA TV will feature the Orlando Magic @ Philadelphia 76ers in Game #6 of their best-of-seven series with Rick Kamla (play-by-play) and Steve Smith (analyst) on the call. The Magic lead the series 3-2 and can eliminate the 76ers with a win. Ahmad Rashad (host), Gary Payton and Webber (analysts) will preview the game starting at 6:30 p.m. ET with the action getting underway at 7:30 p.m. ET.
