Yankees/Twins Match-Up to be Seen Locally Throughout Minnesota
Sunday MLB on TBS will return July 6 with the New York Yankees and Derek Jeter visiting the Minnesota Twins and Joe Mauer at 2 p.m. ET. With broader co-exist rights this season, the Sunday MLB on TBS telecast will be seen locally throughout Minnesota. New York’s Hiroki Kuroda and Minnesota’s Ricky Nolasco are scheduled to take the mound as the probable starting pitchers. In the broadcast booth, Ernie Johnson will provide play-by-play with veteran TBS MLB analysts Ron Darling and Hall of Famer Cal Ripken.
Upcoming match-ups on the Sunday MLB on TBS schedule will include the St. Louis Cardinals visiting the Milwaukee Brewers on July 13 at 2 p.m., with the telecast shown locally in Milwaukee. On July 20, the Boston Red Sox will host the Kansas City Royals at 1:30 p.m. in a game that will be available in the Kansas City market.
This season marks the first of Turner Sports’ new eight-year multimedia rights agreement with Major League Baseball that will extend the partnership to more than 40 years. As part of the new agreement, TBS will have enhanced rights for its Sunday MLB on TBS game of the week with increased co-exist rights in the local markets. The network will also exclusively televise one Wild Card Game presented by Budweiser, two of the four MLB Division Series presented by T-Mobile and one League Championship Series during the 2014 MLB Postseason.
