SIRIUS XM RADIO TO BROADCAST THE ICC TWENTY20 CRICKET WORLD CUP LIVE NATIONWIDE
SIRIUS and XM subscribers will hear every match beginning with group games June 5
NEW YORK – June 3, 2009 – SIRIUS XM Radio (NASDAQ: SIRI) announced today that it will be the exclusive U.S. radio broadcaster of the 2009 ICC Twenty20 Cricket World Cup, offering both SIRIUS and XM subscribers live coverage of every men’s match from England starting with the group games on June 5 and continuing through to the World Cup Final on June 21.
The group stage kicks off Friday, June 5 at 12:30 pm ET with England v. Netherlands from Lord’s Cricket Ground in London. All broadcasts, provided by Cricket Radio, will air live on SIRIUS channel 113 and XM channel 242. Visit www.sirius.com or www.xmradio.com for future match times and listings.

The ICC World Twenty20 Cricket World Cup, the second ever world event for Twenty20 cricket, will take place in England at Lord’s Cricket Ground, The Oval Cricket Ground and Trent Bridge. A total of 12 national teams from around the globe will compete in four groups with the group stage matches running from June 5 – 10. The eight teams that emerge from the group stage will compete in the “Super Eights” June 11 – 16. The top four teams from the Super Eights will compete in the semifinals June 18 and 19 and the 2009 T20 World Cup champion will be crowned after a one-match final on Sunday, June 21 at Lord’s Cricket Ground in London.
Reigning 2007 world cup champion India, which won the title with a thrilling victory over Pakistan in the inaugural tournament, returns to defend their title. They will be challenged in the 2009 competition by Australia, Bangladesh, England, Ireland, Netherlands, New Zealand, Pakistan, Scotland, Sri Lanka, South Africa and West Indies.
In addition to the men’s matches, SIRIUS XM will also broadcast the women’s semifinal matches on June 18 and 19 and the women’s final on June 21.
