ROSENTHAL: ALL-STAR GAME NEEDS YASIEL PUIG – Few players in MLB history have burst on to the scene quite like Dodgers RF Yasiel Puig. The question has been raised as to whether Puig should make the NL All-Star team despite having spent only a few weeks in the major leagues, and MLB on FOX reporter and featured columnist Ken Rosenthal has a simple answer: “Yes, yes and yes again.  “It’s 2013, the age of buzz, 140-character tweets, 10-second Snapchats,” Rosenthal writes. “If you want to grab people’s attention, you had better do something meaningful, something different. “Puig, the Dodgers’ right fielder, is an arresting presence, a human electrical current and most important, an extreme talent. He can’t be this good, we all know that. But I’d like to see him face Yu Darvish, Felix Hernandez or Justin Verlander in the ASG so we can find out a little more.”

Club America vs Cruz Azul FRIENDLY this sunday ON FOX DEPORTES AND FOX SOCCER – FOX Deportes, the leader in Spanish-language sports media, is set to air a friendly between Club America vs. Cruz Azul exclusively in Spanish, live Sunday, June 30 (3:00 PM ET). The match is also being televised live in English on FOX Soccer. This is the first time both teams meet after a dramatic Mexican League final that took place this past May. In a late flurry of goals, Club America scored two past Cruz Azul to push the match into overtime and eventually to a penalty kick victory. Tensions will be high at FC Dallas Stadium in Frisco, TX for this redemption rematch.

EXCITING TWO-MAN RACE SET FOR REST OF MOTOCROSS TOUR, SAYS EMIG – Reigning 450 Class Motocross Champion Ryan Dungey scored his second victory on the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship last week in Maryland, and has proven he can run with current overall points’ leader Ryan Villopoto, says FUEL TV analyst Jeff Emig. The two square off again this weekend at the Chaplin Kawasaki Moto-X 338 National in Southwick, MA, for the sixth stop on the tour. FUEL TV begins coverage of the opening motos on Saturday, June 29 (1:00 PM ET), and Emig is excited to see the two biggest stars of the sport face each other. “Last race we saw Dungey riding out of his comfort zone and really going after Villopoto, who had been dominating the tour up to this point. In the first moto, Dungey even crashed, but came back and showed a lot of life in the second moto to win the overall that day. I think it was a huge confidence builder for Dungey and a turning point in the season. It’ll be great to see these two champions go at it for the rest of the summer.”
