The eighth season of NFL Network’s Thursday Night Football continues this week when quarterback Colin Kaepernick and the San Francisco 49ers travel to face quarterback Sam Bradford and the St. Louis Rams in an NFC West divisional matchup Thursday, September 26 at 8:00 PM ET. Last season, the Rams were unbeaten against the NFC-champion 49ers, with a 24-24 tie in Week 10 and a 16-13 overtime victory in Week 13.
Play-by-play announcer Brad Nessler and two-time Emmy-nominated analyst Mike Mayock return to the Thursday Night Football broadcast booth for their third season and are joined by Alex Flanagan, who enters her fourth year as the sideline reporter.
NFL Network’s Craftsman Presents NFL Total Access Kickoff pregame show is live from the stadium starting at 6:00 PM ET. Host Rich Eisen is joined by former St. Louis Rams greats Marshall Faulk and Kurt Warner, Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, and former head coach Steve Mariucci. Reporters Alex Flanagan and Stacey Dales provide pregame news reports from the locker rooms and interviews with players and coaches, while NFL Media’s national insider Ian Rapoport and NFL Media’s Mike Silver are on-location with the latest news from around the NFL.

Last week’s Thursday Night Football game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles delivered a 6.0 US HH rating (9.7 Cvg HH rating) and was watched by an average of 9.4 million viewers (not including over-the-air stations in Kansas City and Philadelphia) – ranking it as the highest-rated Thursday Night Football telecast in NFL Network history. Through two games of its 13-game schedule, Thursday Night Football is averaging a 5.7 US HH rating (+43% vs. 2012 average) and 9.1 million viewers (+42% vs. 2012 average) – on pace to be the highest-rated and most-watched Thursday Night Football season ever.
International award-winning actress and recording artist Priyanka Chopra’s track “In My City” is the new theme for Thursday Night Football. This is Chopra’s second year being featured on NFL Network as last season she kicked off the Thursday Night Football pregame show.
