In this newly created role, Levin will be responsible for developing and implementing an innovative, league-wide content plan that advances the long-term growth objectives of the NFL across all of its owned and operated media assets, including NFL Network, NFL Digital Media, NFL Films, and external media partnerships, networks and platforms. Levin will focus on the development, production, programming and distribution of high quality, video content consistent with the NFL brand and mission, which reaches current and future NFL fans across all demographic segments worldwide. Additionally, Levin will be charged with managing current NFL event programming franchises, such as the Super Bowl Halftime Show and NFL Honors, developing new franchises, and licensing and building the NFL Films library to maximize consumption.
Reporting to Rolapp, Levin will start June 15 and work out of NFL Media’s offices and studios in Los Angeles.

A highly respected media executive, producer and entrepreneur, with over 25 years of experience creating television and digital content, Levin joins the NFL from Microsoft where he served as Executive Vice President and General Manager of Xbox Entertainment Studios. In this position, Levin was tasked with coordinating the launch of an interactive, video-on-demand programming service creating original premium content for the global, over-the-top Xbox platform.
In 2005, Levin started Generate, a pioneering studio and talent management company that successfully developed and produced fiction and factual entertainment, in addition to customized branded content, for a variety of distribution outlets and programming services across both traditional and digital platforms. Generate was acquired by Alloy Digital in 2012, later merging with Break Media to form DEFY Media.
Levin joined The WB in 1994 as part of its founding executive team, rising through the ranks to become sole president of entertainment in 2001 and the youngest CEO in broadcast television history in 2003. During his time at The WB, Levin helped to launch, build and brand America’s most successful broadcast network to target young adult audiences through successful television programs such as “Dawson’s Creek,” “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” “Felicity,” “Smallville,” “Gilmore Girls,” and “One Tree Hill.”
Prior to joining The WB, Levin spent five years as a member of the creative team that revitalized the Disney television division, developing shows such as “Home Improvement,” “Ellen,” and “Boy Meets World.”
Currently the Chairman of NATPE, an HRTS Board member and past President, and DGA member, Levin graduated Cum Laude with special honors from the University of Texas at Austin’s Moody College of Communication in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science in Radio-Television-Film. Levin currently lives in Pacific Palisades, CA.
