STAMFORD, Conn. – June 11, 2017 — Country music superstar Luke Bryan will open tonight’s Game 6 broadcast of the Stanley Cup Final at 8 p.m. ET on NBC with a special performance from the rooftop of Tootsie’s World Famous Orchid Lounge in Nashville, Tenn. Bryan, a two-time Academy of Country Music and Country Music Association Entertainer of the Year, will perform one song exclusively for the Nashville Predators-Pittsburgh Penguins broadcast on NBC.
With a win against P.K. Subban and the Nashville Predators in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final tonight from Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn., Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins can become the first team in almost 20 years to repeat as Stanley Cup champions.
NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app – NBC Sports Group’s live streaming product for desktops, mobile devices, tablets, and connected TVs – will provide streaming coverage of Game 6, including Bryan’s performance.
Five-time Emmy Award-winning play-by-play commentator Mike ‘Doc’ Emrick, U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame member and analyst Eddie Olczyk, and Emmy Award-winning ‘Inside-the-Glass’ analyst Pierre McGuire will provide commentary for Game 6. This marks the 11th consecutive year that Emrick, Olczyk and McGuire will combine to call the Stanley Cup Final for NBC Sports.
Pre-game coverage on Sunday begins at 6 p.m. ET on NBCSN with a special two-hour edition of NHL Live. Host Liam McHugh will anchor pre-game, intermission and studio coverage on-site throughout the Final, alongside analysts and former players Mike Milbury and Keith Jones. In addition, Kathryn Tappen and Paul Burmeister and will host coverage from an outdoor set outside Bridgestone Arena, alongside analysts and former players Jeremy Roenick, Brian Boucher, and Anson Carter.
