NBA TV to Televise One-on-One with Ahmad Rashad on Wednesday, Dec. 19, at 6:30 p.m.
In the closest vote in the history of NBA Fan Night presented by Sprint, NBA TV will televise the Miami Heat hosting the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday, Dec. 18, at 7:30 p.m. ET. The Timberwolves vs. Heat match-up garnered 39.8% of the vote, slightly more than the 39.3% that the Boston Celtics vs. Chicago Bulls game received. The NBA Fan Night game selection was based on fan voting via NBA.com, the NBA Facebook page, NBA TV’s Facebook page, Yahoo.com, NBA.com mobile web, mobile GameTime App and Twitter.
NBA Fan Night host Ernie Johnson and analysts Chris Webber and Greg Anthony will offer analysis during the AutoTrader.com Pregame Show at 7 p.m. Johnson, Webber and Anthony will also provide updates at times during the game telecast, along with halftime and GameTime presented by Hyundai post-game coverage.
Fan voting for the next NBA Fan Night telecast (Tuesday, Jan. 1) will be conducted from Tuesday, Dec. 25, at 8 a.m. through Thursday, Dec. 27, at midnight. Potential telecasts:
- Dallas Mavericks @ Washington Wizards
- Portland Trail Blazers @ New York Knicks
- Sacramento Kings @ Detroit Pistons
- Atlanta Hawks @ New Orleans Hornets
- Los Angeles Clippers @ Denver Nuggets
Additional games on NBA TV this week will feature the Celtics visiting the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday, Dec. 15, at 8:30 p.m., the Knicks hosting the Houston Rockets on Monday, Dec. 17, at 7:30 p.m. and the Bulls visiting the Knicks on Friday, Dec. 21, at 7:30 p.m.
One on One with Ahmad Rashad
NBA TV’s Ahmad Rashad will sit down with some of the biggest personalities in the league in a special airing Wednesday, Dec. 19, at 6:30 p.m. Rashad recently conducted interviews with Houston’s James Harden, New York’s Carmelo Anthony and Los Angeles Clippers teammates Chris Paul and Blake Griffin for the show.
NBA D-League Game of the Week
NBA TV’s NBA D-League Game of the Week will continue Sunday, Dec. 16, at 3 p.m. featuring the Maine Red Claws and Fort Wayne Mad Ants (game held Saturday, Dec. 8). The network will televise over 30 NBA D-League games as well as the NBA D-League Showcase, the NBA D-League All-Star Game in Houston and postseason games.
The Jump presented by Sprint – Tuesdays on NBA.com and NBA TV
The Jump presented by Sprint – hosted by Jared Greenberg with analysts Dennis Scott and Brent Barry and SLAM’s Lang Whitaker serving as a regular contributor – is a weekly show which is streamed live each Tuesday on NBA.com at 3 p.m. and debuts on NBA TV Tuesdays at 6 p.m. The show previews upcoming NBA games, provides analysis on storylines throughout the league and answers questions directly from NBA fans through submissions via NBA.com, the NBA Facebook page and Twitter.
