NBA TV Takes the Court for NBA Finals with Live On-Site Studio Shows

NBA TV to offer Free Preview throughout NBA Finals (June 2 – 18);
TNT’s Ernie Johnson, Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith host Inside the NBA Presented by Hyundai on NBA TV
NBA TV today announced its 2009 NBA Finals coverage, which includes live broadcasts from each game site with TNT and NBA TV studio teams at the helm. For the first time ever, TNT’s Emmy®-award winning studio show will host live pre and post-game shows from the NBA Finals, featuring Ernie Johnson, Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith on Inside the NBA presented by Hyundai on NBA TV for Games #3, 4 and 5* (* if necessary). NBA TV’s Fan Night studio team of Ahmad Rashad, Chris Webber and Gary Payton will be onsite for pre-game studio shows and post-game NBA GameTime presented by Hyundai for Games #1, 2, 6* and 7* (* if necessary) of the NBA Finals. The network’s studio coverage will begin a half-hour prior to the start of ABC’s coverage with the AutoTrader.com Pregame show and will conclude with an hour-long studio show following each game. As part of the NBA Finals coverage, NBA TV is offering a Free Preview to participating cable as satellite television providers (June 2 – 18).

NBA TV will round out its studio coverage with its entire stable of announcers including hosts Rick Kamla and Andre Aldridge, analysts Steve Smith and Eric Snow, writer/reporter David Aldridge and NBA.com correspondents Kyle Montgomery and Melanie Collins.
NBA.COM will continue to be the online home for the most comprehensive coverage of the NBA with exclusive video content and analysis. The Barkley Zone will continue throughout the NBA Playoffs, hosting an array of content from Barkley including the popular ‘Ask Chuck’ segment where he answers questions submitted by fans on NBA.com. The Ahmad Squad will also continue with Rashad going behind the scenes for an all-access pass to the NBA Finals using a video camera to capture exclusive footage. Finally, C-Webb’s Fab Five will continue to post as Webber selects the five best players of all time from each franchise, with lively debate from his sidekicks during each Webisode. Previously posted selections include the New York Knicks, L.A. Lakers, Cleveland Cavaliers and Dallas Mavericks.
In addition to exclusive video franchises, NBA.com will also allow fans to vote on the ‘Player of the Game’ during the Finals and the site will provide live streaming of all post-game press conferences, post live blogs for every game and stream video reports, analysis, highlights and content from TNT and NBA TV announcers.
