makes his broadcast debut January 30

NEW YORK – January 27, 2012 – Sirius XM Radio (NASDAQ: SIRI) announced today that former Indianapolis Colts Vice Chairman Bill Polian has joined SiriusXM NFL Radio, the only radio channel dedicated to the NFL 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Polian will make his debut on Monday, January 30, on Late Hits (8:00 – 11:00 pm ET). He’ll host the show again on Wednesday, February 1, and Friday, February 3, and will be heard regularly on the channel throughout the year. SiriusXM NFL Radio is available to listeners nationwide on channel 88 on Sirius and XM Premier (formerly known as “The Best of Sirius”).

“I’ve been a guest on SiriusXM NFL Radio many times and it is an outstanding source for league news and information,” said Polian. “Now I get to be the one asking the questions. I’m excited to get on the air to talk shop with players, executives and coaches around the league and interact daily with many of the great fans who have helped make the NFL the most successful sports league in the world.”

“Bill Polian is one of the most respected front office executives the NFL has had and we’re thrilled to have him join our All-Star team of SiriusXM NFL Radio analysts,” said Steve Cohen, SiriusXM’s SVP of Sports Programming. “When it comes to evaluating talent, breaking down a draft class, assessing rosters and other matters that are critical to the success of an NFL team, there’s nobody better. Our listeners will learn a great deal from him when he’s on our airwaves.”

Polian built a reputation throughout his front office career as a superb talent evaluator and executive. He served as President and Vice Chairman of the Indianapolis Colts from 1997 through 2011, overseeing all football and administrative aspects of the club and guiding the franchise through an extraordinary period of success. Under Polian’s direction, the Colts selected quarterback Peyton Manning with the #1 pick in the 1998 NFL Draft. Manning went on to become a four-time league MVP, leading a long list of players signed by Polian who went on to become stars including Dwight Freeney, Dallas Clark, Edgerrin James, Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne and many others. During Polian’s tenure, the Colts went to the playoffs 11 times, won eight division titles and two AFC Championship games, and defeated the Chicago Bears in Super Bowl XLI.

Before joining the Colts, Polian was the first general manager of the expansion Carolina Panthers, leading the team’s front office from 1994 to 1997. Remarkably, the Panthers went to the NFC Championship game in only its second year of existence. Prior to his tenure in Carolina, Polian was the general manager of the Buffalo Bills for seven seasons. He was promoted to the position at the tail end of the 1985 campaign as the team was finishing up its second consecutive 2-14 season. The Bills would go on to make the playoffs in six consecutive seasons (1988-93) and win four consecutive AFC Conference Championships (1990-93).

In his 24 seasons as a general manager with Indianapolis, Carolina and Buffalo, Polian’s teams made 17 playoff, eight championship game and five Super Bowl appearances. He served as Vice President of Football Development for the NFL during the 1993 season. He helped formulate and implement the NFL’s current Collective Bargaining Agreement and he was a member of the league’s Competition Committee, Diversity Committee, Management Council Senior Executive Committee and was Chairman of the College Relations Committee. He is the first six-time winner of the Executive of the Year award from The Sporting News, an honor bestowed on him by his peers.

As the Official Satellite Radio Partner of the NFL, SiriusXM broadcasts every NFL game live nationwide, from the pre-season through the Pro Bowl and Super Bowl, plus live NFL talk every day of the year on SiriusXM NFL Radio, channel 88.
Duke coach will sit down with SiriusXM’s Chris ‘Mad Dog’ Russo for a special Q&A in front of a live audience at Cameron Indoor Stadium in Durham, NC

A select number of SiriusXM subscribers will have the opportunity to attend the event and ask Coach K a question

NEW YORK – November 28, 2011 – Sirius XM Radio (NASDAQ: SIRI) announced today that Duke University men’s basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski – who became the all-time winningest coach in Division I men’s basketball history this month – will sit down for a Q&A session with an audience of SiriusXM listeners, Duke fans and other invited guests at storied Cameron Indoor Stadium in Durham, NC.

“SiriusXM’s Town Hall with Coach K,” a two-hour broadcast event, will air live nationwide on Mad Dog Radio, channel 86, on Wednesday, December 14 (7:00-9:00 pm ET). The special will be moderated by SiriusXM’s Chris “Mad Dog” Russo, who will interview Coach K before opening it up to questions from SiriusXM subscribers in the audience.

The event is part of SiriusXM’s “Town Hall” series, an intimate gathering with an iconic figure and an audience of SiriusXM listeners. Previous “SiriusXM Town Hall” specials have featured Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty and Coldplay.

“This will be a unique radio event in a very distinctive setting that is special to everyone at Duke – Cameron Indoor Stadium,” said Krzyzewski. “We look forward to hosting Chris Russo and the Mad Dog Radio team, as well as the SiriusXM listeners, that night.”

“Coach K and Duke Basketball are in the midst of a historic season and this is an exciting opportunity for us to bring SiriusXM listeners to Cameron Indoor to celebrate their accomplishments,” said Scott Greenstein, SiriusXM’s President and Chief Content Officer. “Our Town Hall events have been a huge hit with our subscribers, time after time delivering memorable conversations and terrific insight. We’re thrilled to have Coach K be the first sports figure featured.”

“Coach K has had one of the most extraordinary careers of any coach, in any sport, in history,” said Russo. “We’ve spoken several times over the years and he’s one of the all-time greats. To talk with him after this latest milestone, at Cameron Indoor, in front of a live studio audience will be fun.”

On November 14, Coach K recorded his 903rd win, a 74-69 Blue Devils’ victory over Michigan State at Madison Square Garden – to become the all-time winningest head coach in men’s Division I basketball history. In 36 years as a head coach, Coach K has built one of the top coaching resumes of all-time. He has compiled an extraordinary 907-284 record, led Duke to four NCAA Championships (1991, 1992, 2001 and 2010) and guided the Blue Devils to 13 ACC Tournament championships and 11 Final Four appearances. His teams consistently boast one of the best graduation rates in college basketball.

Annual highlight of NASCAR Champions Week honors the best, boldest and funniest moments from the NASCAR season

NEW YORK – November 22, 2011 - Sirius XM Radio (NASDAQ: SIRI) announced today that 2011 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Champion Tony Stewart will host the fifth annual ‘Stewie Awards’ show on Thursday, December 1, live from Las Vegas on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.

The ‘Stewies,’ which features Stewart’s entertaining and irreverent take on the best, boldest and funniest moments from the 2011 NASCAR season, will be awarded during a live broadcast hosted by Stewart and Matt Yocum from Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on Thursday, December 1 (9:30 pm ET / 6:30 pm PT). The live broadcast will air nationwide on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, channel 90 on Sirius and XM Premier (formerly known as “The Best of Sirius”). The broadcast will be open to the public for fans in Las Vegas.

Stewart won his third NASCAR Sprint Cup Series title after a remarkable postseason run that saw him win five of the 10 races in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup. His down-to-the-wire battle with Carl Edwards created one of the most exciting finishes in NASCAR history, as Stewart overcame early-race troubles and held off Edwards to win the season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway and claim the crown. In just his third year as a driver/owner with Stewart-Haas Racing, Stewart becomes the first driver/owner to win a championship since Alan Kulwicki did it in 1992. He was the last driver to win the championship before Jimmie Johnson went on his historic five year title run.

The ‘Stewie Awards’ event will feature live interviews with several of Stewart’s competitiors in this year’s Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup, plus other special guests.

“Hosting the ‘Stewies’ is always one of the highlights of Champions Week for me and this year’s show will be incredibly special,” said Stewart. “This has been an amazing season for me and the team and it’ll be great to share the excitement of Champions Week with the fans in Las Vegas and those listening around the country on SiriusXM.”

Fans can vote for the ‘Stewie Award’ winners online at www.siriusxm.com/stewieawards.

Clint Bowyer and Kevin Harvick battle Jeff Gordon and Mark Martin to end of Aaron’s 499 at Talladega only to be bested by Jimmie Johnson, who tied a record for slimmest margin of victory at .002 secs thanks to a late push by Dale Earnhardt Jr.
