Top Athletes and Mascots to Star in New ESPN.com TV Spots Beginning Friday
Three new TV spots for ESPN.com’s year-long brand campaign featuring TV, print and online elements will premiere Friday, July 3, on the ESPN networks.
- Fantasy Football (:30) – features NFL running backs (Clinton Portis of the Washington Redskins, Maurice Jones-Drew of the Jacksonville Jaguars and the New York Giants’ Brandon Jacobs), tight ends (Tony Gonzalez of the Atlanta Falcons, the San Diego Chargers’ Antonio Gates and Dallas Clark of the Indianapolis Colts) and placekickers (Mason Crosby of the Green Bay Packers, Rob Bironas of the Tennessee Titans and the Colts’ Adam Vinatieri) waiting to be selected for a fantasy team.
- Lunch (:30) – stars Mia Hamm, the Swiss bobsled team, O.J. Mayo of the Memphis Grizzlies and Samari Rolle of the Baltimore Ravens engaging in warm-up activities.
- Wild (:15) – highlights the performance skills of Penn State’s Nittany Lion, the Clemson Tiger and the Baylor Bear.
Created by ESPN and Wieden + Kennedy New York, the campaign seeks to illustrate ESPN.com’s breadth and depth at serving sports fans by giving them instant access to the sports they love and the control to consume it as they desire. The spots will highlight the many kinds of sports journeys a user can create with the limitless flow of information ESPN.com provides. Each TV spot will close with an invitation to fans to “Follow Your Sports.”
